I was offered the chance to review one of these Lovehoney Oh-Moji Mini Wand Vibrators before general release, and the idea of emoji themed vibrators seemed brilliant. Why shouldn’t we, in such a technological, social media et al age, have a collection of sex toys which are emoji themed? They’re such an everyday part of online communication for most folk. Many people even have their favourite emoji, one they use simply all the time.
The toys in the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Mini Wands Vibrator collection that I could pick from included the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Kisses Vibrator, Lovehoney Oh-Moji Tongue Out Vibrator and the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator – which is the one I chose.
Packaging
My Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Vibrator came in a colourful box, as you’d expect from an emoji-themed vibrator. The whole feel is fun and youthful while remaining most definitely adult. A bit like the Lovehoney Tokidoki X sex toys are, really. You can see the Heart Eyes Mini Wand through the front of the packet, as it’s in a transparent moulded plastic area within the glossy cardboard box housing.
This housing features the Oh-Moji branding, and on the back of the box you find instructions on use, written up so as to include plenty of emojis. Brilliant. On the bottom of the box you get your material and manufacturing details.
First Impressions
Quite cleverly, the design of the eyes on the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator are red (as in the standard emoji) but they’re the Lovehoney logo too.
Looking at the Heart Eyes wand head emoji gives me feels of when you click on the Lovehoney Deal of the Day and it’s something you’ve wanted for a while, at half usual price! Charging Up
Yep, the Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Vibrator is rechargeable – clue’s in the name. Inside the box, along with the vibrator (obvs), you get a white USB charging lead.
Charging is simple as; just plug the jackpin into the bottom of the vibe and the other end into a USB port. Mine charged up in a couple of hours. An LED blinked through the yellow silicone on the base of the toy while it charged, then emitted a steady glow once it was done.
Operation
To turn the Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Vibrator on, you have to press and hold the raised button on the end of the handle for a few seconds. The button has the LED behind which blinks etc as it charges, but during use this LED is also on.
There’s 3 constant vibration modes, and 8 patterns of vibration. You can discover all these by clicking the power button over again while the vibrator is on.
During the patterned modes, the LED flashes in time with whatever the pattern is.
Settings
You might be expecting that the vibrating patterns would be your standard bunch – I was, after experiencing many different vibrating toys in my time. But the pulses and patterns on the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator are different than usual. Very hard to explain in words; it would be easier with a freqency diagram of each, but I don’t have one unfortunately. So here we go (after the 3 constant modes of vibration, low-medium-high):
- Elongated pulse: long vibration, then a dash, and repeat.
- Dash-dash-dash then a short burst of dots, and repeat.
- Dot-dot-dot pulse then a long dash vibration, and repeat.
- 7 dashes then a long extended vibration, and repeat.
- Variable pulse: many different bursts of dots and dashes of vibration.
- Dot-dot-dot pulse, split with an elongated vibration, then dash-dash-dash pulse, and repeat.
- 6 dots of vibration (pulse), then a long dash of vibration, and repeat.
- Dash-dash-dash then dot-dot-dot pulse, and repeat.
As you can see, if you’re a vibration pattern lover, there’s a few new ones for you to experience with the Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Vibrator.
My Experiences
I tried out the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator with some apprehension, because I haven’t had the most amazing experiences with this type of small wand vibe. They’re ok, I don’t hate them and there’s nothing wrong with them per se, they just haven’t been mind-blowingly fantastic. The vibrations aren’t up to mains powered wand vibrator levels and that’s where I’m at with my sex toy use & collection these days.
In the past I’ve even tried mini wand vibrators, bullet vibes and other clitoral stimulators which leave me more frustrated than when I started. I hoped this wasn’t going to be the case with the Oh-Moji Mini Wand.
Happily (and possibly thanks to the fact it’s rechargeable rather than battery powered like some of my previous and frustrating experiences), the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator actually can and does bring me to orgasm.
What really surprised me – along with the fact that a mini wand could achieve this feat at all, to be honest – was that the emoji face served another purpose than just comical/novelty factor. The flat disc portion of the wand head provided a wider surface with which I could stimulate my clit. Not only could the wand head vibrate against my clitoris, but I could get quite ‘tap happy’ – letting the lightness of the mini wand vibrator work in my favour by holding it teasingly gently, and allowing the vibrations to cause the wand tip to bounce quickly against my clit.
The first time I used the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator was without lube – which is usually a no-no as silicone + skin often = chafage. However I found the dry vibration against my aroused clit extremely stimulating and in less than a couple of minutes I was brought to orgasm. In subsequent uses I’ve used water based lube, which I prefer over silicone, and the experience wasn’t better or worse for me – just different. The vibrations feel fantastic tapping against my unlubricated clit but they also feel orgasmic when there’s a dot of lubricant in play.
As usual, I avoided the vibrating patterns as I’m a constant vibration kinda woman. The top constant speed is my go-to on the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator.
Summary
This is by no means the most powerful vibrator in my collection – a long way from it, in fact. But it’s quiet, cordless, rechargeable, easy to use and the novelty design makes me smile too.
I find the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator quite a teasing vibrator for me – not in the sense that it’s simply a foreplay toy, or a warmer-upper, something that doesn’t actually bring me to orgasm by itself. What I mean is that although it can and does bring me to orgasm, it’s not a 0-60 in 3 seconds sex toy like my extreme vibration toys, the mains powered wands and their ilk. I don’t have the orgasm ripped out of me, I feel in control the entire time.
The vibrations from the Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Vibrator take a couple of minutes to drive me up to writhing on the sheets level, then it’s not too long after that when I can choose to orgasm whenever I’m ready.
I feel that the Lovehoney Oh-Moji Heart Eyes Rechargeable Mini Wand Vibrator would be a brilliant vibrator for those looking for something different to traditional phallic vibes, or who don’t get on with rabbit vibrators. It’s an external use vibrator so perfect for those into clit stim who don’t require/don’t get off on jackhammer levels of power. It’s also nice and quiet, very discreet, and comfortable to hold during use. Oh, and it’s rechargeable – so no worries about finding the right type of batteries.
My only gripe really is that it’s not waterproof – so keep the sexy action firmly on dry land. After use I wipe the silicone head down and use some anti-bac spray on it and then I’m good to go the next time – as long as I remember to keep it charged of course!
