Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator Review

By GayonTuesdays

Its that time for another Cara Sutra Pleasure Panel review, and I am very excited that I was given an opportunity to review a vibrator. For the September round of the Pleasure Panel I was given the opportunity to review the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator from Lovehoney’s Happy Rabbit range; I do have some past experience with the Happy Rabbit Triple Curve, so I knew I was in for a great time.

Upon Meeting

The Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator arrived swiftly; the box design is similar amongst the other rabbits, but still lovely. The look of the packaging is clean and very detailed.

Though the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator comes with an owner’s manual, all the important details are on both the front and back of the box. As mentioned in the name the Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator is rechargeable, and waterproof which is different from the Triple Curve.

The charging cord is USB based so universally friendly, but I do find the plug in the charging port particularly annoying. I find it difficult to take the silicone plug out to actually charge the toy, and I have very long stiletto acrylic nails so this really should not be that difficult. I mean I peel grapefruits with these things, they are more like talons than nails so I would not recommend using this plug unless you have to. On the bright side it does prove that Lovehoney means business when they say waterproof.

The Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator comes in this gorgeous pink shade which I am IN LOVE with! I have tons of pink toys, but something about this made me so happy and excited to use it! I just kept telling my roommate how pretty this shade is and how I wish this shade was the more common pink in my industry.

I am sure this is related to the Happy Rabbit study Lovehoney generated where they found orgasm time was a few seconds longer when using Happy Rabbit products than when using just manual stimulation. From what I read Lovehoney really focused more on the difference in orgasm time with a Happy Rabbit in contrast to manual stimulation, but I am without a doubt Lovehoney threw some color tests in there too.

The controls and first few touches

The Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator also comes with a travel lock, which for some can be confusing, but as someone who just traveled with tons of toys I was grateful for any toy that managed to remain off throughout my continued travel.

The controls themselves are simple, just two buttons control each portion of the toy independently. A click of the small circle and you can activate the three different intensities which are all a steady buzz. I would say the vibrations are on the verge of being rumbly but are not quite there yet.

Then when clicking the larger button you activate the internal portion of the toy. You can easily click through it’s twelve patterns; there are the standard three steady settings while the patterns are all variants of blinking. I am not one for patterns to begin with though so this does not impact my experience too much.

Another wonderful, and very important aspect about this toy is the fact it is a medical grade silicone; this ensures your toy is totally nonporous and body safe. While the base of Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator is an ABS plastic which also shares these features. To the touch this silicone is silky and smooth, and the shape looks as though it will do my G-Spot major justice.

The curve of Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator is what is so promising about this toy. When we get into the science of this shape one will learn that although every person’s body is different, many respond well to a bulbed curve. This curvature will stimulate the erectile tissue that is located behind the pelvic bone, typically just a couple inches within the vagina. This shape is not limited to G-Spots though, a similar shape is used in P-Spot aka prostate toys.

In use

As mentioned, I have some experience with Happy Rabbit so when I was given the opportunity to review another product from the Happy Rabbit line I was stoked. I feel like I have not tested any kind of rabbit in so long so I am at this weird stage where I almost feel like it’s new again.

I work my way up to using this toy by watching some porn, and starting with a light bullet vibrator. This way I am properly aroused and giving the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator a fair shot, and a smooth entry into myself. Once I was aching for some internal stimulation I applied some water based lube to my Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator, and slowly slid it inside myself. I then clicked on the vibrations, maneuvering through the patterns and sticking with an intense steady vibration.

I expected to receive more stimulation from the shape, but I know my dominant forms of pleasure are all external. I pressed my Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator up anteriorly to really try to stimulate that erectile tissue but no dice. I felt it was time to bring in the big guns, the rabbit ears so I do not lose my arousal high.

I click on the ears at the introductory level which is a simple low, steady buzz…it…was…awful! The ears kept pinching me, and when I say kept pinching, I mean it. I tried re-angling; still terribly painful. I was so upset I feel like I tried everything, I tried moving into different positions, applying more lube, parting the ears some to make a better fit but nothing worked. I chalked it up to an off day, so I tried again, and again, and again. Nothing, it was hopeless, I never reached orgasm with this toy…

Now, I found this particularly baffling because I had such a great experience with the Happy Rabbit Triple Curve; I mean not a single pinch or moment of discomfort. So what’s going on? Maybe the ears on this one were too pointy? I put the toys side by side and stared at them for a long time before I actually decided to measure the distance between the ears. I then discovered the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit G-Spot Rechargeable Rabbit Vibrator is two millimeters smaller than the Happy Rabbit Triple Curve.

This is my only answer as to why I struggled with this Happy Rabbit. This does not guarantee everyone will have an issue with this toy. I have to account for other factors like my VCH piercing, which never is problematic maybe it’s not comparable in a smaller space?

I could not tell you because everyone is different, and that’s the hard part about this job. I did do further research on Lovehoney’s website and found reviews where others experienced a similar problem. With that in mind I would not recommend this toy unless you are willing to take the risk. I think you are better off looking at some of the other Happy Rabbits and their reviews to see which direction you would like to go. As for my rating, I would give this toy a 2/10 stars.

My decision is so low because the vibrations do not seem very powerful, and beyond that Lovehoney claims to have researched this product -so if this is an issue, they have to know.

I think they should have made the rabbit ears on every Happy Rabbit the same distance apart. If you are going to brand several products in one “Happy Rabbit” group you need to have a “Happy Rabbit” consistency that way your consumers can trust Happy Rabbit will offer them a similar or better experience across the board. So check out some of the other Happy Rabbit reviews and just be an educated buyer; as writers we always try to steer readers in the right direction by being totally honest about our experiences.

Thank you again Cara Sutra for this opportunity, it may not have been perfect but I’m pleased my honesty will be respected, so thank you.

Hello, My name is Amber, alternatively known as GayonTuesdays. Why Tuesdays you may ask? Well thats a story for another day, but more about me. I have been a sex educator for some years now and have recently decided to take up some digital space after attending Eroticon. I am always looking to broaden my horizons and keep myself up to date on the latest and greatest in the insudtry. I think the best part about the sexual health field is the support from ones peers. In my experience every interaction is not only a learning experience but a boost in your mind state. I am hoping one day to attend grad school and eventually work at a nonprofit or basically anywhere where I get to educate full time, and live off it.
