Lovehoney Elixir Luxury Lace Crotchless Cut-Out Body Review

The Lovehoney Elixir Luxury Lace Crotchless Cut-Out Body is the third item I’ve tried from the new Lovehoney Elixir range. I treated myself to the corset and body chain just before Christmas and love them but couldn’t justify a third piece. I was lucky enough to receive the Lovehoney Elixir Body in exchange for my open and honest review.

All Lovehoney underwear comes in a cellophane bag, whilst this is practical it isn’t in anyway pretty so I discarded this as soon as I opened my parcel. If you are buying the Lovehoney Elixir Body as a gift, some tissue paper or a gift bag would look much better to present it in.
The one size body aims to fits a UK size 6-16, I’m currently hovering around a 12/14 and this fits me perfectly with a little adjustment of the various velvet straps. The centre panel is slightly stretched down my torso, as I’m 5’7” I don’t think the Elixir cut out body would be suitable for anyone over 5’8” possibly 9” unless they had a shorter torso and longer legs.
The shimmering gold detailing throughout the black lace on the Lovehoney Elixir Luxury Lace Crotchless Cut-Out Body adds a touch of glamour and the velvet straps feel much more luxurious than the ordinary bra strap material usually used on adjustable underwear.
The double strap on the hips and from the shoulder straps down to the underwired cups add a slight bondagey edge to the Elixir body, taking it from pretty and delicate to seriously sexy.
The Lovehoney Elixir Body leaves very little to the imagination. The delicate lace covers just enough to tease without leaving you feeling too exposed; unless you wat to be of course in which case the crotchless design is perfect for allowing a partner easy access without you having to remove the underwear.
The thong back is finished with a small lace panel which the hip straps attach to, this adds another layer of detail and frames my bum perfectly.
My only criticism of the Elixir range as a whole is it feels slightly less “finished” than other pieces I’ve had from Lovehoney in the past. There were just a few loose threads and slightly untidy seams in both the Crotchless Cut-Out Body and the corset I bought myself.
The barely there design isn’t what I would normally go for when buying lingerie for myself but having lost a little weight recently my confidence is higher and the cut away sides made me feel super slinky and sexy. The strappy design over my hips does give me a little muffin top but the central lace makes the most of my curves too, giving me the illusion of an hour glass silhouette and I still felt amazing despite my body hang ups.
