This is the penis masturbator from the popular, colourful and mostly rechargeable Fun Factory sex toys range. My man absolutely loved the look of this masturbator from the moment it was launched. Not because of the pleasurable possibilities, but because it looks like a lightcycle from Tron. Such a geek!
Although the Cobra Libre is available online in a choice of black and red, blue and white and black and white, we chose the completely black one as it’s his favourite colour. The Cobra Libre is usually priced at approximately £80.
What you get
In the well designed, clearly marked box you get your Fun Factory Cobra Libra masturbatory device, and a little instruction booklet. Yes, this is a rechargeable sex toy. No, you don’t get the charging lead with the toy. As with other Fun Factory sex toys you need to buy the Fun Factory Click n Charge magnetic charger separately, which costs about £4.95.
This is either wonderful, if you subscribe to the Fun Factory range, own a couple of Fun factory sex toys and therefore only have the one charger to worry about; not so great if you only ever want to buy one Fun factory toy and have to shell out pretty much another fiver for a charger. It’s up to you to decide which side of the fence you come down on.
As I have quite a few Fun Factory sex toys now, I see it as a good thing. But then, I’m lucky.
Our experiences
The Fun Factory Cobra Libra is a silicone sex toy which has an opening made for men to insert their penis head into and receive vibrating stimulation. The handle is ABS plastic and the control buttons are on top, which light up during use. They’re shiny and smoothly concave to the touch, a stylish finish.
During use he was really amazed by how effective this masturbator is. I took great pleasure in watching and ‘helping’ at some points. The ‘hold to go faster’ button styles did lead to more vibration power than he was expecting at times and it’s easy to power your Cobra Libre up when you’re simply trying to hold it. I think holding it without accidentally powering it up will come with practice.
Usually I would also recommend supplying a storage pouch with a majorly silicone sex toy, but as this is a masculine product which will most likely be sat on the bedside cabinet, I can let Fun Factory off just this once. In fact he loves to display the Cobra Libre on his desk, like it’s an ornament from Tron. The fact he can pick it up, take it off and have an orgasm with it any time is just a bonus.
Oh yes, it’s waterproof too, so there’s no need to worry about trying to clean it thoroughly with a ‘wipe down’. A proper wash then a spray of anti bacterial sex toy cleaner. Perfect.
The Fun Factory Cobra Libra measures 5.25 inches in length and 1.8×1.5 inches front opening dimensions. The top ‘lip’ of the opening is flexible enough to stretch open to accommodate your personal size. The thing to remember with the Cobra Libra is that this is NOT a fully enveloping masturbator, it’s a penis head stimulator. You’re not meant to fit all your penis in there!
You’ll be wondering if it’s really worth it then. Well, short story is – yes. It is. Those interested in this sex toy will know how sensitive the penis head and frenulum areas are, and the vibrations from the Cobra Libre, particularly when used with some water based lubricant, make for an explosive, powerful climax every time.
Once you’ve charged up your Cobra Libre using the Fun Factory Click n Charge magnetic charger you can get started. I’d advise giving it at least a wipe down before use, to get rid of any residual chemicals from manufacture and storage in the box. To turn it on you rest your finger over the horizontal concave button on the top of the masturbator, and you will notice a white button light up to let you know it’s active. To make the vibrations faster press the right hand button below that, to slow down the vibrations press the button on the left hand side below the main power one.
To turn off the Fun Factory Cobra Libra you need to rest your finger on the main power button once again.
It’s quite odd operating a sex toy by resting your finger over a sensitive area on a sex toy fascia rather than actually pressing a button (or scrolling a wheel, if we go back a couple of decades). But during use he says it feels quite natural, as your fingers would travel up and down your shaft during masturbation normally anyway. It’s just getting the hang of pressing the right button at the right time, no matter how… distracted you’re getting.
Summary
He says the Fun Factory Cobra Libra feels fantastic, he loves it and is very impressed. Would recommend it to all men. Particularly if they love Tron as much as he does.
