Packaging

The attachment is presented in a pale grey box, with a transparent front panel. The front of the box shows the Doxy logo, and states that the Doxy 3 Penis Masturbator Attachment is compatible with the Doxy Number 3.  The attachment sits in a clear plastic insert.

There is no instruction leaflet included, and basic information about the product is listed on the reverse of the box.  However, this information does not include any care and cleaning instructions, nor is there any mention of lube and what type is compatible with the product.

Material & Appearance

The Doxy 3 Penis Masturbator Attachment has a telescopic appearance, and is made from ‘quality dual density silicone’ according to the rear of the packaging.  It is also stated to be non-porous, hypo-allergenic and odourless. The sleeve part of the attachment is black and very soft and squashy, which makes it wobble like a jelly once it is screwed onto the Doxy Number 3. The inner part of the sleeve is covered with various raised shapes and ridges to aid stimulation of the penis.

There is no mention about what the inner of the screw-on part of the attachment is manufactured from, and I presume it is aluminium like the Doxy Number 3.

Operation

This Doxy 3 Penis Masturbator Attachment screws on to the operating end of the Doxy Number 3, after removing the original Doxy head. It requires around twelve twists to get it firmly in place.

Once screwed into position, the sleeve of the attachment sits horizontally across the top of the Doxy Number 3. The Doxy Number 3 is then turned through 45 degrees so that the sleeve fits vertically over the penis.

I found that the Doxy 3 Penis Masturbator Attachment feels quite heavy to hold and weighs 207 grams, whereas the standard head of the Doxy Number 3 weighs 32 grams. The Doxy Number 3 weighs just under 300 grams, so that is a combined weight of 507 grans with the attachment in place. The internal diameter of the sleeve is approximately 1.5”, with the width along the sleeve being approximately 4.5”.

When I used the attachment on my volunteer, I found that the the Doxy Number 3 became heavy and cumbersome to hold, making it awkward to correctly position the sleeve on the penis. My volunteer also found the same when trying it for himself.

Because of the number of bumps and ridges inside the attachment, covering the penis in plenty of water-based lube is a must as the sleeve doesn’t just slide snugly over the penis. One size definitely does not fit all. My volunteer felt that the nodules inside the sleeve gripped his penis too firmly and did not allow free movement of the sleeve, even when using plenty of lube.

After five or so minutes’ use of the Doxy 3 Penis Masturbator Attachment, the body of the Doxy Number 3 began to get very warm. This happened on each occasion, and this is probably not particularly good for prolonging the life of the Doxy Number 3.

I also found that the noise levels of the Doxy Number 3 were considerably louder when using the attachment.

My volunteer did orgasm when we used the Doxy 3 Penis Masturbator Attachment, but he felt this was down to the strong vibrations from the Doxy Number 3 itself rather than any extra pleasurable sensations generated from using it with the sleeve attachment.

We subsequently tried the Doxy Number 3 with the conventional head directly on his penis, and he found that this was much more pleasurable and comfortable.

In the absence of any specific cleaning instructions, I used anti-bacterial soap and water, and a sex toy cleaner to clean the attachment. Given the internal nodules, the inside also needs a through clean with a small-headed brush. The ends of the tube are soft enough to turn over to make cleaning a little easier.

Conclusion

My volunteer preferred the sensations produced by the Doxy Number 3 with its standard head. Having the Doxy 3 Penis Masturbator Attachment in use made the Doxy Number 3 very hot and more cumbersome to use, as well as being very noisy. He didn’t find the sleeve particularly comfortable when in use, and preferred the standard head of the Doxy Number 3 directly on his penis.
