I can say without any hesitation that my absolute favourite sex toy is my Doxy Number 3. Some time ago, on the Doxy website, I did see reference to attachments, so I was excited to learn that they are now available. I was even more excited to be given the opportunity to review the Doxy 3 Clitoral Stimulator Attachment for the Cara Sutra Pleasure Panel.

Packaging

The Nexus Clitoral Stimulator Doxy 3 Attachment is presented in a pale grey box, with a transparent front panel. The front of the box shows the Doxy logo, and states that the Nexus Clitoral Stimulator Doxy 3 Attachment is compatible with the Doxy Number 3.  The Nexus Clitoral Stimulator Doxy 3 Attachment sits in a clear plastic insert.

There is no instruction leaflet included, and basic information about the product is  listed on the reverse of the box.  However, this information does not include any care and cleaning instructions, nor is there any mention of lube and what type is compatible with the product.

Material

The Doxy 3 Clitoral Stimulator Attachment is made from ‘quality dual density silicone’ according to the rear of the packaging.  It is also stated to be non-porous, hypo-allergenic and odourless. The silicone is black in colour, and has a nice smooth feel to it, but it does seem to be a magnet for dust.

Operation

The Doxy 3 attachment screws on to the operating end of the Doxy Number 3, after removing the original Doxy head. The Nexus Clitoral Stimulator Doxy Number 3 Attachment requires around ten or eleven twists to get it firmly in place.

The Doxy 3 Clitoral Stimulator Attachment has an unusual appearance, featuring a rounded end, a deep curve on one side, with a row of thin silicone flaps on the other, which the packaging refers to as  wings. The wings ‘flutter’ when the Doxy Number 3 is powered and vibrate on the area where you choose to direct them. The beauty of this attachment is that both the rounded end and the curved side can also be used for stimulation, so if you prefer a more solid type of stimulation, this will provide it.

This clit stim attachment feels quite heavy to hold and weighs 155 grams, whereas the standard head of the Doxy Number 3 weighs 32 grams. The Doxy Number 3 weighs just under 300 grams, so that is a combined weight of 455 grans with the Doxy 3 Clitoral Stimulator Attachment in place.

I did find that the weight of the Doxy Number 3 combined with the clitoeal stimulator attachment meant that positioning the wings wasn’t always bang on first time.

The Orgasms

With most clitoral stimulators, I generally need to use them at maximum speed to achieve orgasm, but the Doxy Number 3 is powerful enough for me to orgasm on the lowest setting. When the Doxy 3 clit stim attachment is used, the vibrations have further to travel, and are less intense, which meant I had to ramp the power of the Doxy up to level three to achieve orgasm.

When using the Doxy Number 3, with the Doxy 3 Clitoral Stimulator Attachment in place, I had to grip the handle closer to the operating end than I usually would due to the weight, and I noticed a considerable amount of resonance in the handle.  After five minutes or so, my hand was aching. I  also found that the noise levels of the Doxy Number 3 were louder when using the clitoral attachment.

In the absence of any specific cleaning instructions, I used anti-bacterial soap and water, and a sex toy cleaner to clean the Nexus Clitoral Stimulator Doxy 3 Attachment. I also applied water-based lube when using it.

Conclusion

My preference is for the intensity of the Doxy Number 3 with its standard head, but I do like the Doxy 3 Clitoral Stimulator Attachment, and I will certainly reach for it occasionally. Having the Doxy 3 clit stim attachment in use does make the Doxy Number 3 more cumbersome to use, but as with many sex toys it’s a case of perseverance.  And having someone else take the weight of it and use it on me was very pleasurable!
