Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator Review
Here’s a sex toy I’ve heard quite a bit about but never expected to be adding to my toy box. The Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is a bit of an enigma; it seemed to ignite media outlets before the adult industry had even noticed its existence. Props to the pr team. Many months ago I was sent a link to a news article about this vibrator by one of my colleagues in the industry who (quite correctly) guessed I’d be very interested in it.

Why?
Well, the Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is a clit stimulator. Big deal, right? Actually, this one is hands-free. And no, not with knicker-style straps, or a compatible harness. There’s no annoying wire sticking up out of jeans and no watch-batteried control unit to stick in your pocket. This wireless, rechargeable clit vibrator stays in place using your own anatomy. Intrigued? I certainly was.
Skimming over a few news pieces after that initial link was sent to me, the Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator seemed almost too good to be true. Rumours were that the vibration strength was pretty powerful too. Was this all just pr spiel? Would the toy be yet another gimmick, all promise and no trousers?
Without a contact at Dame Products, and without attending a trade event between then and now, I soon got on with my other work and put thoughts of giving the Eva a try out of my mind. Until an email I received a few weeks ago.
A rep from an online sex store got in touch, offering me the chance to review a product from their online sex shop. After a little discussion, I went to browse their website. I expected it to be the usual, all rabbit vibrators, dildos, cock rings and some light bondage gear. Then I spotted the Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator, in a choice of blue or violet. The blue looked gorgeous, and more like teal than dark blue.
I had to have it.
The online sex shop agreed to send me the blue Eva by Dame Products Vibrator (free of charge in exchange for this honest review), and it soon arrived in discreet outer wrap.
First impressions were good. The Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator comes in a cute black lidded box, branded with the name/logo. Inside, the vibrator was sat in a velvet cote plastic moulding, underneath which I found a small instruction booklet, a sticker, a storage pouch and the USB charging lead. Seemed pretty simple so far; vibrator, pouch, charging lead. Even I could figure out what to do.
The Eva by Dame Products Vibrator is a bit of a strange looking device until you get used to seeing it about the place. It reminded me of a frog. I had no idea how this strange vibrator with its skinny legs would manage to sit astride my clitoris, without me holding it in place, AND somehow buzz strongly enough to make me orgasm. Well, we’d see about that, I thought.
Charging Up
Charging up the Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is pretty simple, if a little scary if you’re not used to the type of port. You need to push the jack-pin through the silicone into the small indented circle. It does feel like you’re breaking the thing… don’t worry. There’s a diagram on the included instruction leaflet which shows you exactly where the charging port is.
The other end of the charging lead is USB, so you can use any USB port in your home (or office; kinky) or a USB to mains adaptor plug like the ones I have by my bed.

Material & Measurements
The Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is covered in silicone – hurray! Silicone is non-toxic, non-porous and body safe. It feels incredibly smooth and I haven’t found that the type of silicone used on Eva picks up much fluff or hair, unlike some other, draggy types of silicone. It’s the velvety-feel type. Very luxurious.
It’s only a small sex toy, measuring at 1.75 inches in overall length with a maximum width of just under 1.5 inches. The Eva by Dame Products Vibrator is for external use (clitoral stimulation).
During Use
The first time I tried the Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator I was certain it was a total fail. I was standing up, and I couldn’t get the little legs to stay in place tucked into my outer labia. I was following the directions in the instruction leaflet but the legs kept popping out before I could even switch the vibrator on.
I gave up for the time being, deciding to give it a couple of days before trying again with a fresh perspective.
The next time I tried Eva, I was sitting down. Maybe this would make fitting the Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator a little easier, if I were more relaxed. Nothing doing. If anything, it was worse. The angle of my labia meant they really didn’t want to enclose the legs of the Eva and keep it there.
I tried again lying down. Success! I don’t know if it’s just that position, or if I was more comfortable fitting the Eva Vibrator, but in any case I could get it to stay right where it should be. Although I’d been impressed with the top speed of the Eva by Dame Products Vibrator while it was in my hand, my clitoris wasn’t too impressed. I was very excited, pretty certain that now I’d got it to stay in place I’d definitely achieve that hands-free orgasm – but no. The vibrations – even on the first two speeds – are far too buzzy. Too high frequency and not enough bass rumbly notes to tip my clit over that orgasmic edge.
If the vibrations were more like those from the We Vibe Rave then I might just have orgasmed without having to hold the Eva vibrator in place – when I’m lying down, that is. But the motor that’s inside at the moment? It just doesn’t do it for me. Such a shame.
I tried the Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator during PiV sex with my partner too, wondering whether the additional stimulation from his penis inside me would help me learn to love those buzzy vibes on my clit. And how would having sex affect the Eva by Dame Products Vibrator positioning? Would it stay in place?
The Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator does tend to pop out at least one of its legs while he’s pushing himself inside me – and that’s in the missionary position, don’t even think about doggy or reverse cowgirl or standing up (well, it doesn’t stay in place for me, anyway – ymmv). Putting it back into position when he’s inside is all well and good but it does tend to ruin the whole hands-free, non-interruption of the moment thing. It then stayed in place fine… as long as we either stayed perfectly still or he was fully penetrating me and holding it in place with his body. I don’t know if my partner thrusts more violently than usual (most probably), but during the active part of sex the vibrator didn’t want to stay in place at all.
I ended up removing it as it was becoming a nuisance, reaching instead for a clit vibe that I could both hold in the right position and which had the type of vibrations which bring my clitoris to orgasm.
Clean-Up
Cleaning the Dame Eva Hands-Free Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator after use is simple enough, but I was very disappointed that Eva isn’t waterproof. The instruction leaflet warns not to submerge in water. Therefore you need to wipe it carefully and spritz with anti-bac toy cleaner before leaving to dry for next time.
Summary
A brilliant idea – and although I managed to find a position where it would stay in place during masturbation, it just didn’t work for me. Might work for you, because everyone’s anatomy is different. However, at just under £100 it’s an expensive risk to take. I’d love it more if the vibrations were deeper and rumblier rather than the tinny, buzzy top note type, and the fact that it isn’t waterproof when it has a top end price tag is, quite frankly, totally naff. I do love the fact that it’s silicone and rechargeable – and it comes in a lovely lidded box and with its own storage pouch.
