I already have a wired love egg in my ever-expanding collection of sex toys, but the Cal Exotics Silicone Remote Rechargeable Curve Love Egg appealed for two main reasons; it’s wireless, and curved to caress your g-spot! I saw it and thought ‘Bring to to me!!’ And, as if they heard me, Lovehoney obliged.
This was my first experience with Cal Exotics and I’m impressed. USB rechargeable, made of body safe silky smooth silicone, remote controlled – this looked to be a top quality love egg.
Packaging & Looks
I won’t say too much about the packaging as you’ll no doubt just want to know what the love egg is like! The box it’s housed in is stylish and attractive, and would look great as a gift. You get the Cal Exotics Silicone Remote Rechargeable Curve Love Egg, remote control and a USB charging cable along with a single instruction sheet.
The Love Egg is small and discreet, gently curved for G-spot pleasure, and feels incredibly smooth. You can tell by the feel that the silicone is high quality.
The remote control is small and looks a bit like a car key. I view this as a good thing –  if it fell out of your handbag or pocket, no one would know what it was (unless they have one themselves!) The on/off button is shaped like Cal Exotics’ ‘XO’ logo, and this button also controls the 12 speeds and patterns. You can’t go backwards and forwards so if you want to return to the last pattern you were using, you have to keep pressing.
With 4″ insertable length and 3.75″ girth the Cal Exotics Silicone Remote Rechargeable Curve Love Egg is fairly small. There’s a retrieval cord to the bottom which is reasonably thick, so I didn’t worry about it snapping. The cord isn’t too long so it doesn’t get in your way, even when you pee! I managed to urinate with the egg inside me without getting any pee on the cord.
Weight wise, both parts of the Love Egg (egg and remote) are light.
The Love Egg can’t be switched on via the remote control unless you activate it first. This can be done by holding the ‘on’ button on the egg.
Going Solo
I charge both egg and remote using the double ended USB cable. This takes 1 hour, and play lasts for around 2 hours.
Before use, I clean the Cal Exotics Silicone Remote Rechargeable Curve Love Egg with Lovehoney’s sex toy cleaner and rinse thoroughly (the egg is waterproof so you can rinse straight under the tap) and leave it to dry. The finger cord is great for this; hang it on your bathroom tap and leave to air dry! I always have a pee before insertion; g-spot stimulation can feel at first like the desire to urinate.
I slather on some water based lube and insert the Love Egg. It was easy to get straight in and it sat in place right against my G-spot with no need to adjust. Turning it on via the remote I discover it’s fairly loud! Nothing to worry about when you’re at home though. Scrolling through the settings is such fun, there are some amazing patterns and 3 constant vibrations.
The least audible setting is the lowest constant speed, which feels like a deep rumbly vibration. But that isn’t powerful enough for me so I use the patterns, which are amazing! A bit more powerful, the best one for me starts slow, builds up to a strong vibration then stops and starts over. Great for edging! Most of the other settings are nice and deep and rumbly. Power queens may not find the vibrations strong enough to reach orgasm but for me it worked a treat!
I like to combine the Love Egg with a clitoral vibrator. The patterns feel incredible combined with a magic wand vibrator. The remote is so handy to flick through different patterns and delay your orgasm. It can be used up to 10 metres away and is so small. Holding that and my wand is easy and I never get hand ache. I like to add a butt plug for multi site stimulation which feels incredible; I achieve a big, blended orgasm usually within minutes!
With Oral
This is my favourite way to use the Love Egg! I pop it in place inside me, rumbling away against my g-spot, and insert a butt plug. Then OH goes down on me. I adore the combination of having all my favourite parts stimulated simultaneously and this causes the biggest of blended orgasms!
Going ‘out out’!
I’ve worn the Cal Exotics Silicone Remote Rechargeable Curve Love Egg out a couple of times – but the volume makes me a little apprehensive about using it in a quiet venue. Wearing it to a noisy pub is better! I love wearing it whilst I walk too. The first time I wore it out, I didn’t tell OH it was in to see if he hear it, but he didn’t. It’s actually very comfortable to wear out and walking is perfectly easy. It really livens up your walk! Try letting your partner take control of the remote; not knowing when they will change the pattern is very arousing.
When you switch the Love Egg off by the remote, you can switch it back on again within a few minutes. However if you leave it any longer; the egg deactivates so you have to remove it and activate it again.
If you suffer any vaginal dryness and want to wear this outdoors, you may need to take some lubricant out with you in case you need to remove it to reactivate it.
I’ve never had any issues with the remote accidentally going off. And going to the loo is fine – no need to remove the Love Egg.
Recommendations:
This high quality discreet little love egg is thoroughly recommended for anyone who enjoys g-spot stimulation. I’m unsure whether the vibrations would be enough for power queens though. Great also for couples as long as you can relinquish control of the remote! This could also be good for use in BDSM if the Dom takes control of the remote.
The Cal Exotics Silicone Remote Rechargeable Curve Love Egg is good value for money as the silicone is excellent quality, and the remote is very well made. The only thing missing is a storage bag!
