It was time to delve, or dip into the budget range male sleeve masturbators and give the Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator from Bondara a go.
Priced at a much lower price range than the other products already tried, I was intrigued to see if the Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator would live up to the standards that had already been set by the previous products. Or would it simply lack the quality that these other masturbators had delivered? Whilst I was certain that they would all live up to the same end point, there is certainly a difference to travelling in a journey in a posh sports car compared with a clapped-out banger. Would this feel the same?
After a quick check on the Bondara website, I became intrigued by the idea of the product that was being sent to me. It was a fully reversible sleeve, that would allow you to turn the product inside out to achieve a completely different sensation during use. Instantly I had a bit of a chuckle to myself whilst thinking of the old cliché about turning socks inside out and wondered if I would feel the same using it.

Once the package arrived, it was clear that the Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator had not had the same level of attention to detail in terms of attracting the eye. The box itself was something of a dull offering, merely showing a picture of the product with a few short descriptive words. It is clear that the celebrity endorsements of Fleshlight allow the manufacturers to jazz up the container to attract customers to their product. However, as always, it is what is inside the package and how it works that is more important.
It was very easy to remove the product and get started with the cardboard packaging revealing a plastic bag containing the sleeve with a short handout detailing how to care for the sleeve and a few important details about lubricant choices.
Material
The Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator sleeve itself is a blue colour material that is a TPE based material. This means that it is vital to use water based lubricant to ensure that the lifetime of the sleeve is as long as it could be. The material is receptive to temperature play should you wish to warm it up prior to use and this certainly adds to the sensation that it provides.
The material itself is fairly soft to the touch, with no noticeable aroma, but at this price point, it is clearly not in the same league as the Fleshlight or TENGA products. However it would compete favourably with own brand budget masturbator sleeves that most online sex toy retailers offer.
Without any plastic casing or container, it is not a subtle product, however, it is fairly small so finding somewhere to store it should not be too much of an issue and if you wish to pack it into your bag for a visit anywhere, it would be easy to fit in.
Size
The dimensions of the Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator sleeve are I would say more mid-range than some other masturbators, with a length of 6.5 inches and a width of 3 inches (however, it is stretchy if you are concerned here). It fits nicely into the hand, with a narrow middle section lending itself to be the gripping point.
Design & Use
One thing that I found myself considering when looking at the product was how I had become used to using flesh coloured sleeves in the Fleshlight and Bonnie Rotten range, and how alien this blue colour all of a sudden looked. Something that I did not think would bother me, however, it just did not feel right.
The opening of the Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator sleeve is not moulded around any specific body part and is fairly non-descript or really very tight, making penetration fairly easy.
The two offerings of lining are certainly very different and do offer a varied sensation, however, neither live up to the standard that is offered by higher end products, with more a gentle after thought style sensation being delivered rather than the lining driving the sensation.
I found the nodule style insert slightly more effective than the swirls. The end of the sleeve can be used to vary the suction level with ease to increase the sensation. The insertable length of the sleeve is the full 6.5 inches, which I would think is the shorter end of adequate and with both ends open, leaves a potential for a messy clean up post use.
Clean Up
Clean-up of the Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator was very easy with a quick wash with soapy water followed by a clean with a sex toy cleaner. Very quick and very easy.
Conclusion
The Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator is clearly within the budget range for male masturbators and has a novel idea with the reversible sleeve allowing two sensations in just a single product. However, neither of the linings really provide that wow factor and as a result it just does not live anywhere close to some other (admittedly more expensive) products that are on the market.
Personally, as with the Bonnie Rotten product, it would be better to wait and buy from the TENGA or Fleshlight range. If you purchase this Cal Exotics Apollo Reversible Dual Stroker Penis Masturbator, then I think you will end up buying a Fleshlight or TENGA further down the line.
