Bondara Silicone Kink Black Spanking Paddle Review

We had been looking for a paddle to add to our collection before the Bondara Silicone Kink Black Spanking Paddle came up for review on the Pleasure Panel, so thank you Cara for this opportunity. We have a small selection of discipline tools and thought that a paddle would be a good addition.
Initial Reaction
The Bondara Silicone Kink Black Spanking Paddle arrived wrapped in just bubble wrap, which while I assume this is not the packaging that you would have received if ordered from Bondara, wasn’t a good start. After unwrapping it, it needed a good clean, using a standard sex toy cleaner to remove some dirt and improve the appearance.
The quality of the silicone seemed a little low. Compared to our other silicone toys, it does not feel as sensual, with more of a greasy feel than we expected.
I would have left off the hanging loop from the end of the handle. It does not add to the impression of the Bondara Silicone Kink Black Spanking Paddle, and does not look like it would hold the paddle up without wearing out soon.
There is a smooth side and raised side, which we hoped would increase the sensations that could be created with the paddle. The handle is sturdy, but not particularly comfortable to grip. Still, we could not wait to put it to a proper test!
Sensations
We found that the Bondara Silicone Kink Black Spanking Paddle sounded lovely striking the other half’s behind, with a great slapping sound, setting the mood. Unfortunately, this was the best thing about using it. While it did leave her behind nice and pink, and did sting, there was nothing hugely special about it. Compared to other spankers that we have used, it did not have anything to set it apart.
There was no difference between the raised side and the smooth side. The raisings probably needed to be more substantial to be more noticeable. In our discussion afterwards, she had not even realised that I had changed sides.
Still, it was enjoyed. With varying levels of power, and speed, we paddled across and around her body. There is enough control in it to strike breast, vulva, and butt at the right power to cause pleasure rather than pain. This was enjoyable for both us!
Conclusion
We both felt that the quality was lacking in this product. It is a low price point, true, but we would both rather spend more on something a bit more special. The silicone is not as good as it could be, and we feel that it would have worked better if the Bondara Silicone Kink Black Spanking Paddle was made of a more traditional leather. While we will use it again, it is probably going to be taken out of the drawer a lot less than our other spankers, canes, and the good old wooden spoon!

I think this review is unduly negative and I would like to add my comments.
My partner had been ill, but then one day she said “I haven’t spanked you for a while, where’s the paddle?” That convinced me that she was recovering! Unfortunately, when she tried using the wooden paddle we keep in the bedroom, she found that she was still too weak to spank me effectively.
We bought the Bondara paddle because we had heard that silicone paddles are effective even when used without great force, and we were not disappointed. Even fairly light smacks with it sting quite sharply. We find the quality entirely acceptable for a product of this price. As regards the hanging loop, it seems to be quite strong enough. We have had it hanging on a hook on the bedroom wall for several months and I have found that having a paddle on the wall instead of out of sight in a drawer means that my girlfriend is more likely to think of using it. One day a few weeks ago we had a slight difference of opinion which she ended very rapidly by taking the paddle from its hook and bending me over for a well deserved disciplinary spanking!
