After a great review of the Starline Harness Your Body Lingerie Set I was feeling so much more confident and raring to try the Bondara Sheer Mesh Pink Babydoll and G-String Set from Bondara. The chance to review a selection of products was offered by Cara and it was my partner who actually chose this sexy pink number for me.
This Bondara Sheer Mesh Pink Babydoll and G-String Set normally retails at £14.99 but is currently on offer at just £9.99. I received this lingerie from Cara Sutra for free, in return for an honest and unbiased review of the product.
Packaging
The Bondara Sheer Mesh Pink Babydoll and G-String Set arrived in a clear packaged sleeve and contained a picture of the product on the front. It isn’t normally something that I would choose for myself. However, this was a treat for my other half and it looked pretty, so I decided to give it a shot. The girl on the front of the packet is a beautiful model with ultra perky breasts and legs to die for! Luckily for me, I know that it isn’t going to look the same as the picture. I have worn enough lingerie to come to terms with this fact, and it doesn’t bother me too much.
Specs
The Bondara Sheer Mesh Pink Babydoll and G-String Set is a three piece set which comprises of a pink apron style baby doll, matching G string and black belt tie across the centre of the garment. The cups were underwired to support the breasts and the fabric was nice and stretchy, for added comfort. The fabric is 88% nylon and 12% elastane so the fabric is synthetic and certainly can’t be worn for a night of passion in front of an open fire. However, at such a fantastic price, I expected man-made fibres and found myself very impressed with the quality of the fabric. It feels soft, stretchy and the colour is incredibly vivid.
My experience with the Bondara Sheer Mesh Pink Babydoll and G-String Set
After a few cheeky wines, my partner suggested that I go and try on the baby doll. The dress was very easy to put on because you can just step into it and pull the stretchy fabric over your body. Size-wise, the garment is a ‘one size fits all’, which means that it is suitable from size 6-16 (yes, I am aware that this isn’t ‘all’).
The babydoll slipped over my size 10-12 bottom half with ease and clung neatly to my much smaller top half comfortably. There were some minor adjustments required to get the cage effect back into the optimum position but this was very easy to navigate. The floral print looked pretty and didn’t distort during use, which can happen. However, I found the outfit very unforgiving, even with the use of the satin belt. The open back was lovely and the cage effect offered something really quite unique.
As a pear shaped woman, I rely on padded bras to even out my figure and create the illusion of an upper body shape. However, the lack of bust padding on this garment did nothing to enhance my small A cup bust. Someone with a larger cup size would have no problem with this outfit. Nonetheless, I felt very self-conscious about my flat chest because the bust fabric was slightly ‘flappy’. Also, because the outfit is so clingy, it seemed to emphasise my ‘popped balloon’ post baby belly and again, I felt very self-conscious. I couldn’t wait to take it off, but not for the right reasons!
My verdict on the Bondara Sheer Mesh Pink Babydoll and G-String Set
This Bondara Sheer Mesh Pink Babydoll and G-String Set is an outfit for the super confident, which unfortunately I am not. For those with small breasts, you may want to try this outfit with a dark padded bra to help fill out the cups and for those who feel self-conscious about their tummy, it does cover your stomach but the fabric left me feeling exposed. However, this is a beautiful outfit and well worth the £9.99 for those who want to give it a try. The fabric is light, the colours are pretty and the cut of the outfit is a real eyebrow raiser!
The Bondara Sheer Mesh Pink Babydoll and G-String Set was simply the wrong style for me, but it would be great for someone else.
