Welcome to my Bondara Corkscrewer Glass Dildo review! It’s been a while since I reviewed a glass sex toy, and when I reviewed the Bondara Glacier Glass Nebula Dildo last year I absolutely loved it. How does this new corkscrew twist style compare? Read on to find out how this beautiful glass toy feels during use, a close-up of its spiral design, rotation vs thrust, temperature play and maintenance.

Bondara Corkscrewer Twisted Spiral Glass Dildo Review Hero Featured image

Quick verdict: Bold spiral texture gives a thrilling corkscrew feel for texture-lovers and glass fans. Great with a little lube and for temperature play, cooled or warmed. The rigid ridges can be intense and there’s no flared base, so vaginal use only and not ideal for absolute beginners. Unusual, effective, and budget-friendly.

  • Material: Borosilicate glass (body-safe, shatter-proof, non-porous)
  • Best for: Spiral texture lovers, temperature play, shallow thrust & rotation
  • Not ideal for: Total beginners to firm texture; anal use due to lack of flared base

  • Circumference (min–max): 2.5–4.5″ / 6.35–11.43 cm
  • Weight: 183 g

  • Material: Borosilicate glass (body-safe, shatter-proof, non-porous, compatible with any lube)
  • Colour: Clear with twisted helix (corkscrew) with black edging

The spiral of the Bondara Corkscrewer Twisted Spiral Glass Dildo is like a gorgeous, black-edged frill which begins as a proper spiral on the slenderer area of the handle, changing to a ruffle at the widest point just above where you hold the toy. This then shifts back to the corkscrew spiral as the glass dildo gets slenderer again, before the gentle pointed tip, which makes insertion easy and comfortable. Not to mention intensely arousing thanks to the bold spiral design.

It’s important to remember that this glass sex toy has a small, slender spiral handle as a base, not a flare or stopper. Therefore, it’s recommended for vaginal use only – not anal.

How It Feels: Rotation vs Thrust

One of the main things I love about glass dildos, beyond their objets d’art aesthetic appeal, is that the rigid material transmits any texture of their design extremely effectively to my sensitive areas inside my body. The cold material is a thrill all on its own, then combined with a boldly textured glass dildo, sliding it inside gives me delicious shivers right from the start.

The Bondara Corkscrewer Twisted Spiral Glass Dildo features a frilled, ruffled, spiral design which is quite unlike any of my other glass sex toys. Sliding the dildo straight into my vagina means I get the sensually sharp ‘zip’ and ‘pop’ of those ridges as their defined coolness travels into my tight warmth, but adding a twist of my own to the toy is something else. Just slight rotations of the toy – especially when combined with some lube to aid glide – means my extremely sensitive vaginal walls feel the spiral climb and release against their tightness.

You could even use the more rounded, handle-end of the dildo to stimulate and penetrate the vagina if you wish – Corkscrewer is a little like a double-ended dildo in that way.

Shallow penetration, starting with that comfortably slender, gently pointed tip opposite the handle end, is an exquisite tease. I do need to be careful not to let the sensation overwhelm me and persuade me to go too deep, too fast; the rigid material and that pointed tip can quickly turn uncomfortable if so. Quicker thrusts, while keeping them shallow and adding some rotation, gives me a blur of deliciously arousing sensation. It’s absolutely divine.

Lube Pairing

One of the many bonuses of glass sex toys is that they’re compatible with any sex lube. The rigid, non-porous material feels sensational whether you prefer water-based, silicone, hybrid or other.

I found that using a thicker viscosity, gel-like lube with the Bondara Corkscrewer Twisted Spiral Glass Dildo meant it almost ‘floated’ over the toy’s ridges and led to a less intense experience, which could be beneficial if you find it a bit much.

For maximum sensation from the bold texture of the toy, I like to use my favourite water-based lube, just a typical, everyday lube, and take it as slowly as I’m able.

Grip & Handling

The handle part of the Bondara Corkscrewer Twisted Spiral Glass Dildo is quite short, but luckily the toy is quite light overall, despite a total length of 9 inches. It weighs 183g. This means that ordinarily, without a coating of lube, the Corkscrewer is pretty easy to keep hold of, despite the short length of the handle.

When I add lube, that’s when things get a little… well, slippery, unsurprisingly. It’s difficult to keep the lube-slick to the insertable portion of the glass dildo when I’m mid-frenetic play. To avoid any unfortunate slips or risk of dropping the dildo, I keep a cloth nearby at all times. This means I can give the handle a quick wipe when I feel it’s getting dangerously slick, and I could end up doing an Avril Lavigne (Losing My Grip 🎶).

Temperature Play (Warm/Cool Safely)

Glass is brilliant for temperature play in the bedroom. To warm up the Bondara Corkscrewer Twisted Spiral Glass Dildo before use, just put it in a bowl or sink of warm (not boiling!) water for a few minutes. To cool the dildo down before you use it, use cold water, or put it in the fridge for around 10 minutes.

Always avoid boiling water or freezers to keep both yourself and your glass sex toy safe. Test against the inside of your wrist before inserting the toy, to confirm that the toy is a comfortable temperature for you to use intimately.

Safety, Cleaning & Storage

  • Anal safety: Not safe for anal use due to the lack of a flared base or stopper on the dildo. Read more in my anal sex toys guide.
  • Cleaning: Easy to clean by submerging in warm, soapy water. Get into every nook and cranny by using a nail brush or old toothbrush you use solely for cleaning your sex toys. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth.
  • Storage: Arrives with a thoughtfully included Bondara-branded, black velvet storage pouch, in case you’re wondering how to store your sex toy between uses. This helps prevent damage from knocking against other toys in your drawer, as well as build-up of dust.
  • Compatibility: As glass is a rigid, non-porous material, this dildo is compatible with all types of sex lubes.

Comparison: Bondara Glacier Glass Nebula (10/10)

I rated the Bondara Glacier Glass Nebula 10/10 in 2024. Side by side with the Corkscrewer, here are the differences I’ve noted.

Bondara Nebula & Corkscrewer Glass Dildos

  • Spiral profile: Corkscrewer has a fairly slender, black-edged ridge that forms the shape of the shaft from tip to end. It’s a pronounced helix (followed by a ruffle-frill before the handle) that you benefit from immediately during use. Nebula, in contrast, has a wider girth with a smooth surface boasting bulb-and-waist contour design, so sensations are still arousing in their own way, but perhaps not quite as intensely impactful as with Corkscrewer.
  • Tip & insertion: Corkscrewer has a gently pointed tip which is easy to insert, then those ridges engage straight away for instant texture sensation. Nebula has a more traditionally rounded tip, which has a wider girth, and enters with a ‘pop’ leading to the first cinch of its contoured design.
  • Rotation feel: Twisting the Corkscrewer provides me with a fast-arousing, screw-in/out effect with deep groove tracking that feels blissful to me, an intense sensation lover. Nebula doesn’t provide extra sensation through rotation, as its penetrative appeal instead comes from the cinch-and-bulge shaft line of those sparkling contours.
  • Stroke sensation: I can benefit from the rounded, ridged edges of Corkscrewer’s twists and frills whether I’m simply enjoying shallow in-and-out or rotational turns during use. Nebula delivers a more wave-like effect, which gives gentle internal pressure changes (tip bulb to waist to bulb) that shine during slow, lengthy strokes.
  • Base & control: Nebula features a stopper ridge then a faceted-diamond-style base which is not just an excellent handle but also means the dildo is safe for careful anal use. Corkscrewer has a slender, short length handle which could double as an alternate penetrative point, but means the dildo is for vaginal use only and not anal safe. The handle can also become worryingly slippery when lube/juices coat it during play.
  • Temperature play: Both glass dildos retain chill or heat wonderfully for exciting temperature play induced by warm water or the fridge. The raised ridge edge down the shaft of Corkscrewer delivers the temperature of the material to my intimate area faster, while the thicker shaft and bulges of Nebula retain the temperature desired for a longer period overall.

My pick: For faster, deeper thrusts but a more drawn-out, teasing session, I love Nebula. For optimum texture sensation with slow or fast but shallow thrusts and a quick ride to the peak of arousal, it’s Corkscrewer. They’re both Bondara glass dildos but each one provides a very different experience. For a longer, slender wand with maximum sensation appeal, the Corkscrewer is the more intense spiral ride.

Verdict

If you love glass sex toys and you’re aching for a noticeable spiral on an extreme textured toy, the Bondara Corkscrewer Twisted Spiral Glass Dildo is where it’s at. It’s unapologetically bold and intense, and not for newbies to either glass dildos or vaginally penetrative toys. It’s an exciting toy but do your best to take it slow, go gently and keep those thrusts shallow. Get the most out of the spiral and ruffle design by adding in cheeky rotations. A splash of your favourite lube ensures a comfortable, max sensation glide.

Buy this if: you want a vaginal toy compatible with any lube which provides intense sensation, rigidity and temperature play options. Avoid if you want a toy you can use anally or that you can bash against your cervix, or if you’re new to glass, texture play or vaginal penetrables.

Bondara Corkscrewer Glass Dildo – FAQ

Is it borosilicate glass?

Yes – and borosilicate glass is non-porous, ideal for temperature play and compatible with any lube.

Is it beginner-friendly?

With lube and keeping things gentle and slow, a cautious yes. Those ridges are firm, and the tip is pointed, so don’t go too deep or too fast. Keep penetration shallow and rotations gentle.

Anal-safe?

Not anal safe due to the lack of a flared base or similar stopper.

How do I warm/cool it?

Put the dildo in warm or cool water until the temperature feels good on the inside of your wrist. Avoid boiling water, freezers, or forcing the toy to endure a fast change between cold and hot temperatures.

Best lube?

Whatever your favourite lube is! The dildo is compatible with all lubes. Thicker gel lubes soften those ridges for you, typical everyday water or silicone lubes intensify sensations.

How do I clean and store it?

Wash carefully and thoroughly in a sink of warm, soapy water. I recommend keeping an old nail brush or toothbrush for toy cleaning purposes (which is disinfected/replaced regularly). Rinse, then dry with a clean cloth. Store in the provided storage pouch from Bondara to avoid damage from knocking against other toys, or dust build-up.
