When I was offered the chance to review a 2-in-1 sex toy, a dual stim, vaginal vibrator with thrusting plus clitoral suction stimulation and other features besides, I was fascinated. The combination of various methods of stimulation plus a sleek, stylish design that – gasp! – wasn’t presented in industry-standard pink or purple made this an unmissable opportunity. So, how does the BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator measure up in real life? Did the separate or blended options of suction, thrusting and heat result in the discovery of a new favourite? My Experiences
I’ve tried my best to love the BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 vibrator – it has SO many different stimulation options, surely one would do the trick?! – but sadly this isn’t a new addition to my favourite sex toys pile.
The concept behind this vibrator is genuinely clever, and it looks sleek and gorgeous. It has such a high-tech, modern appeal with its cool green colour, detachable versatility potential and multiple usage options. However, once I had charged up both parts of the sex toy and I was ready to use it – lubed up and everything – things started to unravel. Somewhat literally, at times.
Vibration Power & Type
Let’s start with the vibration type and power. The vibration provided by the internally-worn, vaginal shaft is too weak for me – even on the highest, constant speed, which is usually my favourite. I don’t orgasm just from vaginal stim anyway, usually, but the vibration from this part isn’t felt strongly enough inside me during use.
This part of the vibrator can also thrust. I had the usual issue here, that I’ve experienced with other thrusting vibrators; my body holds on to toys tightly and the power of the thrust is felt back against my hand holding it, rather than benefitting from the thrusting action vaginally. Due to the placement of the power/settings button right on the end of the vibrator, this also meant I accidentally caught this button at times – unintentionally changing up the setting or even switching the vibrator off if the contact was too prolonged.
Noise
At this juncture I want to note the noise level. When the vibrator is just vibrating or providing suction stimulation via the clit stim part, the sound level is no problem. But when using the thrusting mode, the noise increases noticeably. Again, as with other thrusting vibrators and dildos, the thrusting motion seems to come with a side of grinding, ratcheting noise which is distracting and not very discreet. Something to be aware of if you house share or otherwise have need for absolute discretion when using your sex toys.

Having a vaginal vibrator which offers heat and thrusting as well as vibration, plus a clit suction stimulation part, both of which connect together to provide a dual stim sex toy, sounds great on paper – but the reality was a bit of a clumsy struggle. The clit stim part is simply placed in a front pocket on the vaginal vibe, seeming to connect magnetically within this area. Due to the natural, vigorous use during passionate solo play, this meant that at times I could sense that the clit stim portion had detached.
Sometimes I was able to catch it in time and pop it back into place, other times I was too caught up in my quest for orgasmic sensations and before I knew it, the clit stim had fallen out, on to the floor. Obviously, this is less than ideal during what should be a seamless, elevated, intimate pleasure experience.
The stimulation from the clit stim is gorgeous, I must say. I preferred it to the stimulation from the vaginal vibe. Using this part on its own, I was able to orgasm – I didn’t even need anything vaginally, not even the provided vaginal vibrator. It offers the same sort of vacuum sealed, air pulse stimulation to the clitoris that other clit suction sex toys do – and this type of pleasure product has been understandably popular with people with a clitoris around the world.
Overwhelming Functionality
My main takeaway after using the BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator several times is that there’s just so much going on. I figured out a lot of the controls without any help as well, due to the provided instructions being in Japanese (although Google Translate helped later on, as you’ll see further down this review).
You can use the vaginal and clitoral stim parts separately, or together. The clit stim part can be used as a remote for the vaginal stim part. There’s vibration and thrusting with the vaginal shaft, and various settings with the clitoral stim. You can opt for a heated function on top of all of that. All the settings can be toggled separately or together, for myriad stimulation options. It’s everything all at once – but this ended up feeling too complex for me and quite overwhelming. I just want a sex toy that does the job – simply, brilliantly, quietly, efficiently.
The BeYourLover Fatima is an outstanding sex toy in theory, but in practice it just wasn’t a winner for me personally. Perhaps my body just didn’t care for the style of vaginal vibration it offers, and you’ll love it. Maybe this vibrator just can’t keep up with more vigorous use – which, let’s face it, is how I always play. What doesn’t work for me could potentially work for you – especially if you love a multiple function, varied ways to play, high tech sex toy made from body-safe materials and with waterproof, rechargeable capability. I can see how it would work for some people – sadly, it isn’t the one for me.
Waterproof?
As an additional note, the product page states that the BeYourLover Fatima is IPX7 waterproof but after translating the included instructions, it says not to use the toy underwater. IPX7 waterproof rating means a product can be submerged in up to 1-metre of water for up to 30 minutes, so using the product in the bath or shower shouldn’t be a problem.
I’m confused as to why the instructions say it shouldn’t be used under water if it does indeed have this rating. I’ve submerged the product in water many times, without any ill effect.

Summary
Although the BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator wasn’t a winner for me personally, that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t work for anyone. There are features of this sex toy I do love – the clit stim is very effective, for example.
If you enjoy milder vaginal vibration, if you benefit from the thrusting action on vaginal vibes and you don’t mind a bit of extra noise, if you love exploring many different functions and ways to use a sex toy which is unquestionably high tech – you might love the BeYourLover Fatima.
Fatima is a beautiful, innovative toy with loads of potential – but personally I found it too complex & fiddly, not stimulating enough overall and quite frustrating during use.

It’s made with body-safe silicone material, with an ABS plastic metallic decorative attachment just below the charging nodes on the back of the vibrator. The product page information for the BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator states that it is fully waterproof to IXP7 standard (can be submerged in up to 1-metre of water for up to 30 minutes), and this tallies with my testing of the product. It makes Fatima hassle-free to clean between uses, and means you can enjoy using it in the bath or shower as well as in the bedroom.
Packaging
My BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator arrived in a plain brown outer box for the post from the BeYourLover team, with no mention of BeYourLover or sex toys on the outer label. The return address is named as Postlink ExpressUK.
Inside the outer postal box, I found my new BeYourLover Fatima box snugly contained with the box itself shrinkwrapped in plastic for hygiene reassurance.

Opening the product box I found the two parts of the BeYourLover Fatima vibrator, the magnetic/USB charging lead, a fold-out instruction leaflet and a grey suede-feel drawstring storage pouch.

The BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator measures:
- 8 inches overall length
- 4 inches insertable length
- 4-inch maximum circumference of the insertable tip
- 4-inch total length of the clit stim part
- 4.1-inch maximum circumference of the clit stim (not insertable, measurement provided just so you get a feel for size)
How To Charge Up
It’s easy to charge up the BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator with the included magnetic/USB charging lead. Unfortunately, there is only one charging lead but two parts of the toy to charge, so charging time is doubled. Each part takes two hours to charge fully from zero, so it was 4 hours before I could use my fully charged new toy. It would be better if either two leads were provided, or some sort of charging dock which charges both parts of the toy at once.
Attach the metallic nodes on the lead to the corresponding ones on the back of the vibrator or clit stim part, then plug the other end into any USB port. I like to use the USB port on the side of my laptop in my home office, or the multi-USB to mains plug at the side of my bed. These are extremely useful and I strongly recommend everyone has at least one. You can buy them cheaply from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
While charging, an LED blinks behind the button area on whichever part you’re charging at the time. Once it’s fully charged, this changes to emit a steady glow. Each part of the toy takes about 2 hours to charge from zero, which provides a maximum of one hour playtime.
Top tip: I’d advise additionally labelling the charging lead in some way immediately upon unpackaging the product. This means you can easily identify this specific product lead when it gets tossed into your drawer or box of charging leads.
I use my trusty DYMO labeller which is available from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for all my sex toy charging leads – and it has plenty of other uses around the house, too.
Instructions
A fold-out instruction leaflet is provided with the BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator. Unfortunately for me, this was all in Japanese with no English translation provided.

You can use the two parts of the BeYourLover Fatima 2-in-1 Detachable Vibrator together, as a dual stim/rabbit vibrator, or separately, with the shaft as a vaginal vibrator/thrusting toy and the clit part as a clitoral suction stim toy.
