Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator Review
Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator review by Scandarella
It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes I come across a picture of a sex toy which has a shape that turns me on at first sight. It’s usually dildos that do this for me, especially those which have exciting textures or generously tapered G-spot stimulating tips. It’s rare that I ever come across a vibrator that gets me wet before I even know whether or not it performs, and I’ve never had a ladyboner over an internet image of a rabbit style vibe.

Until I spotted this Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator on the sex toy review list here at Cara Sutra, that is. I was so excited when I discovered I’d been chosen to review it.
The Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator comes in a sturdy, black cardboard presentation box, which is lined with tough flocked foam that has a cut-out to keep the vibe from knocking off the sides and dying. A separate compartment inside the box houses the usb charger, UK plug, and instruction leaflet. There isn’t any branding or pictures on the box, so it’s perfect for long term storage that won’t catch anyone’s eye if you should happen to leave it lying around.
Now, I have to mention the instructions here, because they’re ridiculous. They’re nothing more than an A4 printout, and they’re simple yet confusing. In the Key Features section it states that the Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator is 100% waterproof, but under Cleaning and Storage is says do not submerge your massager under water during cleaning. If it can’t be under water for a few minutes while I clean it, I would imagine having it under water for half an hour while I fuck it isn’t to be recommended either. For £80, I’d expect the instructions to, at the very least, agree with themselves.
Anyway, on to the toy itself.
When I scooped the Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator from its box, I was torn about the build quality. The purple silicone feels gorgeous and so silky soft to the touch, but there’s a cheapness to the toy that told me I’d be very sad if I’d paid £80 for it. The whole thing feels very light and flimsy, and the point at the back where the charger connects has a super deep recess that’ll gather all the gunk faster than a bee gathers pollen, which is a bad dream for clean freaks like me.
The control panel is a let-down too. It’s made from cheap looking, silver coated plastic, and when I clean around it I can get my finger nail about 3 millimetres in, so that’s got hygiene nightmare written all over it too. The silver coating looks like it’s not going to take much to chip it, and I can see it wearing off really quickly, so I have absolutely no love for it.
Right, aside from all of those issues, there are things about the Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator that I really like. Firstly, I really do love the shape, and it’s exactly what I was hoping it would be in terms of size. The overall length is a shade over 8.5 inches, around 4 inches of that being insertable. The shaft thickens from 3 inches at the bottom to a satisfying 5 inches at the widest point. This gives it a gentle curve, which is excellent for G-Spotting.
The clitoral arm is about 2.5 inches, and it’s very flexible. It can be stretched backward until it makes a 90 angle with the shaft, but any further and it starts to protest. This flexibility makes it really easy to maintain clitoral contact, as it offers effortless movement to accommodate body shape.
The Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator has two motors, and the shaft and clitoral arm can be operated independently. Both offer three speeds and seven modes, and they’re all pretty quiet once you’re beneath the covers. The pièce de résistance of the Amy, is the sound activation function. Any sound makes it buzz, provided it’s loud enough, and the louder the sounds, the more intense the vibes. It must have quite a sensitive sensor though, because when we’ve used it with music, it just stays on full speed most of the time.
But then there’s the human voice. Having the Fella between my knees, slowly fucking me with the Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator while making it vibrate by saying things that would make the Urban Dictionary blush is so unbelievably hot, I can’t even begin to tell you. I came so hard, but unfortunately for the Amy, the clit stim that got me there was provided by the We-Vibe Tango.
Yes, despite all its bells and whistles, the Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator is a let-down in the vibration stakes. The shaft has some mid-range rumbles to it that I quite like, but the vibrations in the clit arm are nothing short of pathetic. They feel *almost* okay if I’m just using the shaft as a dildo, but as soon as I turn the shaft vibes on, the clit arm may as well not be there. The vibes so weak they’re eclipsed by those of the shaft.
Bottom line, the most I would expect to pay for a vibrator like the Amy Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator would be £30-£40 (at a push). Even though I really like the voice activated feature, it isn’t worth £80 in my opinion.
5/10
