Ok I will be the first to admit that I wasn’t expecting great things from the System JO For Women Agapé Lubricant. Why? Well, my experience (and a few others too) hasn’t been that great with other of their products in the past. Nevertheless I was willing to put that aside and give this lube a thorough testing.

What can I say other than the fact that I was blown away by the quality of this lube! This System JO For Women Agapé Lubricant is quite honestly one of the best lubes I have ever used for vaginal use.
Packaging
I love the thin, 30 ml bottles that System JO lubes come in as they are discreet and easy for those who like to travel with lubes. The simple flip top lid is easy to use, even with slippery hands, and doesn’t allow for the build up of old lube.
The System JO For Women Agapé Lubricant
The System JO For Women Agapé Lubricant is a clear, water based formula with a decent amount of thickness to it. It is by no means a thick gloopy lube that would be ideal for anal sex, but it isn’t overly runny so it will stay where it needs to and not run all over your body!
It does have a slight cosmetic aroma to it. Nothing overpowering, but it does have a hint of that familiar hand cream smell to it that some people may find off putting.
I find it to have a very off putting taste! At first it tastes quite sweet, but then the after-taste seems very bitter and lingers in your mouth. I find this really unpleasant for oral sex and after a while I actually start to feel sick. I’m not quite sure why it tastes so horrible, as there aren’t too many ingredients and this is usually a problem I encounter with flavoured lubes.
The System JO Agapé Lube in Use
Ok, I was tough on this lube. The first time I used it, I jumped in at the deep end. I used it whilst using a condom (it’s condom safe) and usually I find condoms very drying so I would expect a few lube touch ups during a single sex session. Also it was quite late so we were going for a quickie so i didn’t have much warm up so almost no natural lubricant.
I was blown away! My husband applied a small amount of the System JO For Women Agapé Lubricant to the outside of the condom and his penis slid in with no problem whatsoever! Slow gentle thrusting increased to harder, faster thrusting. After three or four different positions I was astounded that we hadn’t needed to add extra lube.
The sex felt natural. It didn’t feel as though I was overly wet from lube, but I didn’t feel sore, irritated or that I needed additional wetness.
Afterwards, I went to the toilet as usual and was pleased to find that there was no lube overspill. Usually I find that lube is pushed outside of the vagina, meaning my vulva and legs end up quite wet/sticky. In this case I did not find that at all and was quite pleased that the lube had stayed inside, where it was intended to be!
There was no tacky feeling afterwards, and I felt fresh inside. This lube was designed for women and I really think they have done a great job in delivering something that doesn’t irritate or dry out the vagina.
Overall
Although the lube is fantastic for vaginal use, the taste was too off-putting for oral. For this I cannot give the System JO For Women Agapé Lubricant a 10/10 as I like a lube to be multi-functional so I can progress from oral to vaginal sex without needing multiple lubes. I will however be reaching for this whenever we have an unexpected urge for a quick session!
I would give this System JO For Women Agapé Lubricant an 8/10 and recommend it to any women who need additional lube during vaginal sex, but don’t like it to feel too thick/unnatural.
