First Impressions

The lube came in a lovely fetching black bottle that you can just about see the liquid through the middle of. It was also wrapped in hard plastic that was actually quite difficult to get off – so I felt assured that it was nice and clean and also discreet. I was dying to see what the Wicked Aqua Vanilla Bean Flavoured Lube tasted like, having been teased by a fellow reviewer who’d tasted her one and said it was amazing.

The Wicked Aqua Vanilla Bean Flavoured Lube boasts:

“Take a big juicy bite! Kissable, lickable and delicious, Wicked Aqua Vanilla Bean Lubricant adds subtle natural flavors to enhance oral pleasures. Light & silky, this water based formula is the perfect sensual combination of an elegant lubricant and a flavor sensation. Never sticky and without an aftertaste.”

Taste & Formulation

The lube itself tastes GORGEOUS. I sat there like a kid who’d just been given the leftover cake batter bowl, but even happier because it’s made of Stevia for sweetening not sugar.  I’ve always had problems with flavoured lube, where the flavour sounds lovely but actually turns out to be disgusting, not this one.  Perfect and as it says, there is no aftertaste and what’s better for my vegetarian and vegan friends, there is no animal by products or testing.

I was slightly concerned about how runny the Wicked Aqua Vanilla Bean Flavoured Lube was within the bottle. However, I was reassured by it being in a pump mechanism that doesn’t give you too much and also doesn’t piss everywhere if it falls over. You can also squeeze it directly to where you want it, which is quite useful. As it’s a water lube, you can use it on any toy and it’s also condom/latex friendly, and paraben free, which is cool. The only issues that you may have is that it contains glycerine which is normal for a flavoured/sensations lube, so if you’re sensitive parts are indeed sensitive, you might want to give it a miss.

Ingredients

In addition, the range contains Tetrasodium EDTA, which according to web searching, is on the watch list as it’s a preservative that’s made from Formaldehyde, a known carcinogen.  The ingredient is used to prevent the deterioration of cosmetic and personal care products but also this ingredient is also a penetration enhancer. That means it breaks down the skin’s protective barrier, making it easier for other potentially harmful ingredients in the formula to sink deeper into your tissues. The cosmetics database have rated it as a 2 (low) and that it’s safe but it can also be known as an eye irritant. The ingredient doesn’t currently appear on the ‘What’s in my lube?’ library as an issue, so maybe something to just be aware of.

The rest of the Wicked Aqua Vanilla Bean Flavoured Lube ingredients are pretty standard and nothing to be concerned about…

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Cellulose Gum, Stevia Rebaudiana Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Flavor.

During Use

Wicked Aqua Vanilla Bean Flavoured Lube ReviewI tried the Wicked Aqua Vanilla Bean Flavoured Lube on both my Sheets of San Francisco sample and also on my hands and private parts, and the product was fine to remove.  It wasn’t sticky, its clear and leaves a soft moisturised effect.  You can use baby wipes or just water, and you’ll be fine.  It does leave the smell of vanilla behind which in fairness isn’t a bad smell at all; quite pleasant in fact.

The price of the product isn’t too bad either for the quality of it, it comes in at $7.99 which is approx. £6.44 at current exchange rate. It’s a relatively small bottle but even with copious amounts of testing and tasting, I’ve hardly made a dent in it as it’s long lasting.

Sooooo all in all?  The Wicked Aqua Vanilla Bean Flavoured Lube is in a decent bottle with appropriate pump, it’s discreet,  it tells you the important things,  it tastes amazing with no aftertaste and despite my other half saying he already likes my taste, I can’t wait to try this with him.  If it wasn’t for the questionable ingredient it’d be a ten.  So, it’s a 9/10 for me.
