We-Vibe Touch Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator Review

Along with the We-Vibe Tango bullet vibrator (which the We-Vibe team were kind enough to send a new and improved version of after my We-Vibe Salsa turned out to have a fault) I also received the We-Vibe Touch Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator. This vibrator is less of a quick fix where orgasms are concerned and much more of a sensual pleasure maker in the bedroom department. More on that story later.

The We-Vibe Touch was sent fast, discreetly and as professionally as you could wish for by We-Vibe; to be expected from such a successful and high end sex toy company.

The We-Vibe Touch Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator costs £89.99 and is available only in a deep purple colour at the moment. It’s coated in a body safe, velvety smooth silicone material which quickly warms to body temperature and is compatible with water based lubricants.

Packaging

As with the We-Vibe Tango bullet vibe, the Touch came in a similar rectangular lidded box which clearly and attractively displayed the contents thanks to the company logo, product name and product image. The box has all the necessary details.

The box can also double as additional storage, which is always good. You could fit about 20-30 small bullet vibes inside if you wish!

Measurements

The We-Vibe Touch Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is almost petal shaped. A bulbous area has a tapered ‘waist’ which leads to a curved, comfortably pointed tip for precision stimulation. By my measurements the We-Vibe Touch measures 3.9 inches in overall length, with a maximum circumference of 4.5 inches. Max diameter across the front is 1.6 inches. Note that the We-Vibe Touch is designed for external stimulation.

Powering up

Before I could use my new We-Vibe Touch vibrator, I needed to charge it up. This was a simple process with only one minor blip. The USB lead is plugged into any USB port, then the other end is plugged into the magnetic connector. The two metal nodes on this magnetically attach to the corresponding metal nodes on the base of the We-Vibe Touch.

While charging up there is a yellow LED which lights up; this turns off when the Touch is fully charged. The booklet states to charge for 90 minutes which gives a 2 hour playtime; I have found that charging overnight works best, and I get about an hour’s use out of it.

My one minor grumble with the charging is that it’s pretty easy to knock the vibrator from being properly connected to the metal nodes required to keep it charging up. You need to first set the vibrator down then attach the connector to the base. Make sure the LED lights up, otherwise it’s not charging. It can look like it’s attached properly but it wasn’t always with mine – I had to properly adjust it and then back away slowly.

Functions and settings

There are 8 modes of vibration with the We-Vibe Touch Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator. You operate these through the push button on the base. The push button is between the metal nodes, meaning that it’s easier for me to use this with a fingernail rather than my finger pad – as using my finger pad means I am also pushing against the metal nodes which is another slight grumble.

Pressing and holding will switch off from any mode (for those ‘argh I am DONE!’ moments). When you switch back on it will start from where you left off. You can also reach the ‘off’ setting by scrolling through the functions as normal.

The settings are:

Low constant vibration
Medium constant vibration
High constant vibration
Highest constant vibration
Pulse vibration
Oscillating/wave vibration
Fast pulse vibration
Dash dash, dot dot dot pattern

How it feels (to me) during use

Despite a reassurance from We-Vibe that the motor within the Touch is the same as the one in the We-Vibe Tango, the Touch feels a little less powerful to me personally. That’s why I prefer to use this as part of couples foreplay or as an addition to relaxing massages rather than a breathless buzz to a quickie solo orgasm.

You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the design of the We-Vibe Touch, as it’s very (if we can steal the word from another high-end company just for the moment) ‘ergonomic’. The bulbous part lends a reassuring weight that fits in the hand comfortably, while the cinch of the ‘waist’ lends you extra control as you position it where you like. The flexible pointed tip delivers the vibrations exactly where you want them, and the shaped underside of the tip feels sublime when teamed with water-based lubricant or massage gel.

During couples fun it does feel like an extension of the hand and gives a delightful yet unobtrusive extra stimulation which both partners can enjoy. Although this isn’t a penetrative sex toy it definitely puts me on the right track for sexy action when used over nipples, labia, inner thighs or any erogenous zones, and he can enjoy it over the shaft, balls or perineum too.

I have changed my thoughts regarding the We-Vibe Touch during my many uses of it since receiving. There’s no way that this should be compared to the We-Vibe Tango, which is very determinedly a nerve-tingling, spine-chilling, ‘climax me NOW dammit’ vibrator. I don’t believe that this is mainly a clitoral vibrator. The We-Vibe Touch is the soft, sensual vibrating massager which seduces you by metaphorical candlelight, wooing you with a sensual feast and caressing you to a point where you can’t help but take things further.

Summary

As a women’s or couples’ massager, the We-Vibe Touch Rechargeable Clitoral Vibrator is amazing. It’s the type of vibration which particularly suits men, who can often find the uber powerful vibrations from women’s bullet vibes or wand vibrators too powerful for the sensitive skin of the testicles or the exposed frenulum on the shaft.

I prefer to use the We-Vibe Touch with my partner as I sincerely think this is the best use for it; the We-Vibe Touch is what I reach for when I need a solo orgasm simply for purposes of physical release alone.
