System JO H2O Raspberry Sorbet Flavoured Lube Review
The System JO H2O Raspberry Sorbet Flavoured Lube is just one of a dozen flavours System JO offers, promising silky smooth texture with a great taste. Flavoured lube is obviously primarily intended for use during oral sex, but I’ve put the lube through its paces with varying results. Before you read further, please understand that System JO H2O contained glycerine and parabens, these are considered less than excellent. Use can lead to serious discomfort and infection in some people.
The System JO H2O Raspberry Sorbet Flavoured Lube sample I received came in a 150ml bottle, upright standing with a cute cap that leaps up at the touch of the red button. This is a surprising satisfying motion, and I might have repeated it one too many times. For application, you depend on gravity, there is no pump or squeezing, the lube just dribbles out. This makes clean application and precise amounts difficult to estimate. I ended up with more lube than planned more than once.

Okay, but how does it feel? Slick, thin, and silky. This lube is smooth and drips easily, much closer to the consistency of saliva than gel. I found there to be minimal residue and no tackiness after application or drying. However, that Raspberry Sorbet smell sticks around. If you like the smell, more power to you. I was not fond of it. I found the taste to be overpowering and it had a sugar-free sweetener aftertaste. (I was however at a convention where I sampled a good few of the other flavours, and some of those were lovely. Just focus on getting a flavour you like the taste and smell of.)
A lot of these qualities shifted subtly when used in conjunction with oral sex. The thin consistency of H2O hits its stride when used externally on genitals. Both on skin and over condoms I found the System JO H2O Raspberry Sorbet Flavoured Lube complements my own saliva, adding flavour and addition lubrication. When used for a blowjob I no longer noticed the aftertaste, and the taste became vaguely pleasant. Over condoms the aftertaste was still there but lessened. After and between oral, H2O in addition to saliva was plenty of lubrication for hand jobs.
While H2O lube plays nicely with saliva and skin, this was not the case for on condoms, silicone or glass. The lubricant beads up and refuses to spread without serious guidance. Based on my experience I would not recommend the System JO H2O Raspberry Sorbet Flavoured Lube to be used internally. I sat down with a favoured silicone dildo a few times, and on each occasion I had to reapply lube more than usual. My vaginal walls were never quite comfortable or lubricated enough. I was eventually still able to orgasm from clitoral stimulation, but Jo was a hindrance to this. It’s not unreasonable to prefer lube which assists your orgasms rather than adding hurdles.
So, if you do not have sensitive skin, find a flavour you like the taste and smell of, and need a lube to add taste to oral sex, the System JO H2O Raspberry Sorbet Flavoured Lube works. This is however a very specific sequence of requirements, so I won’t be reaching for the Raspberry Sorbet lube again any time soon.
