System JO H2O Flavoured Water Based Lubricant Review

I received three sachets of the System JO H2O Flavoured Water Based Lubricant (in three different flavours) to test and review. They are all 3ml sachets with basically the same design on the front, just different colours and a different photo of whatever the flavour is. Clearly this is water-based lube, since it has “H2O” in massive letters on the front. There is a – quite short – ingredients list on the back of each, although the final ingredient is just “flavour”, which might be a bit vague for you if you’re super nit-picky about these things, and it also contains glycerin and parabens.

Since I got three lubes which should all be the same formula, but just different in flavour, I thought I’d put each one through a different activity to really put the formula through its paces.

System JO H2O Vanilla Cream Flavoured Lube

 

 

First up: Vanilla Cream with a glass dildo vaginally. The packet here is cream coloured with a picture of vanilla ice cream on. The lube was clear and very runny, nearly as runny as water itself. This I don’t consider to be a massive con, it just means that you have to be extra careful not to drip all over the place when pouring out of the sachet. It was non-sticky and moisturising, plus it seemed pretty long-lasting considering there was more than enough in one sachet for one session of fun and it didn’t absorb completely into my skin even when purposely rubbing it in. The taste was a bit overwhelming (and had a weird undertaste) if licked straight from the sachet, however once rubbed into the skin, it tasted (and smelled) pleasant and indeed lightly vanilla. I would rate this a 9/10 individually.

System JO H2O Cool Mint Flavoured Lube

 

Secondly: Cool Mint with a PVC dildo vaginally. The packet here is green with a picture of some mint leaves on. Once again, the lube was clear, runny and non-sticky. This one seemed amazingly long-lasting and made my dildo glide with each and every thrust. The taste was awesome! It tasted (and smelled) exactly like mints (more the type that you get in packets that you eat like sweets, as opposed to strong toothpaste-y mint) and as an added bonus it had a subtle cooling sensation that actually enhanced my pleasure slightly. This lived up to its name and was faultless. I would rate this a 10/10 individually.

System JO H2O Strawberry Flavoured Lube

 

Finally: Strawberry Kiss with a condom-covered PVC dildo anally. The packet here is red with a picture of a strawberry on. The lube was pretty much the same in consistency as the vanilla one, apart from this one seemed to get everywhere! It didn’t seem any more runny, but somehow I seemed to get it all over the place. Luckily, it rubs in feeling silky-soft, so it didn’t leave a sticky mess. I’ll be honest, this test was obviously the hardest and I indeed struggled with this lube. The problem wasn’t that it dried up, it just wasn’t thick enough to cushion and glide the dildo in and as a result, I struggled to even insert half an inch. Therefore, I would recommend a thicker lube for anal play. The taste was a bit artificial, but not the worst strawberry I’ve ever tried, it still tasted pleasant. It has a sickly sweet aroma that I didn’t really like. I would rate this a 7/10 individually (because to be fair, I don’t think it is really intended for anal use).

These are really good quality lubes that I would definitely recommend, the Cool Mint especially. I would buy them in a pump bottle if possible though, less spillage that way.
