Packaging
The Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo Vibrator arrives in a nice aqua coloured box that leaves little to the imagination. The front of the box features a happy woman, a photo of the magnetic USB charging cable, and of course an image of the Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo; looking very proud of himself I must say.
The rear of the box has a similar image, but is also adorned with the overall length of the vibe, which comes in at 22.9cm (9″), however it should be noted that this is the complete length including the handle loop.
As ever the box is also sealed with a very tamper evident seal at each end.
Unboxing
Inside the box there is the Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo Vibrator itself, the magnetic USB charging cable and a short instruction leaflet:
As is common with a lot of USB rechargeable vibes, the Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo Vibrator does not come with a USB to wall adaptor, so you need to either have one, buy one, or else be happy to have your friendly Hippo sat next to your computer whilst it charges.
Initial Thoughts
The Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo Vibrator is a lovely soft pink which she found really appealing.
The silicone is smooth and soft to the touch, and moulds nicely into the ABS of the loop handle, which we are big fans of for control and positioning.
The handle end of the Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo is a straightforward affair, with the two charging studs at one end (that the magnetic charging cable snaps on to) and three soft, but tactile buttons. The centre button is used only for turning the Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo Vibrator on and off, and the other two are used to step up and down through the 12 different settings, which include various constant speeds as well as a range of patterns.
But let’s not get carried away with all the technical aspects here… by far the best part has to be the Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo’s cheeky little smiling face!
How It Feels
We found that getting it to the right position was tricky, but that may be down to our lack of experience with G-spot vibrators. The vibrations themselves were good and strong, and focused well in the head of the Satisfyer Vibes Petting Hippo Vibrator, rather than in the body, which leads us to believe that if you get it in the right place, and/or you orgasm well from g-spot stimulation this will work well for you.
She liked the angle of the head, and the slight ridging of the shaft too, but we’ll need more practice to really get the most from this little fella.
Cleaning
There is not a lot to say, it is smooth silicone, with few ridges or creases, so is relatively easy to clean. There are a couple of ‘folds’ in the Hippo’s neck that you may need to pay attention to, but as the whole thing is waterproof cleaning really shouldn’t be an issue.
Summary
This cheeky chap is a great fun vibrator that embraces a little joy rather than focusing purely on the mechanics of toy design.
If you can get that Hippo’s nose nestling into just the right spot then we’re sure he’ll show you a great time. For now we’ll look forward to more practice.
