I was far too excited about being selected to review one of the Satisfyer products. I’ve been eyeing one up for ages -and let me tell you, I was not disappointed!
Presentation
The Satisfyer 1 comes in a fairly plain and simple packaging. It has the picture displayed on all sides and variety of languages on the other two. It’s not particularly discreet but it could be considered to be a hand/face massager if needed. However the Satisfyer 1 is a bright purple so maybe that’s not so convincing! The product is quite small, will fit in your palm. That said, I have got massive hands… but still, it’s not exactly a massive dong you need to hide.
The Satisfyer 1 is made of ABS plastic. The parts that generally come in contact with the body are silicone – nice and safe. That said, this toy does not come recommended to anyone who has intimate piercings unless you’re willing to take them out.
Power
Warning: For those of us who are now used to toys coming as USB chargeable, this product needs 2 x AAA batteries. After some scratching around, I robbed the batteries that I use in my laser pointer because even my TV remote was the wrong size!
I had a bit of trouble with the battery compartment. It only fits on one way, so you have to match it up or it won’t sit on. Plus then the battery doesn’t connect and therefore the product won’t work. Cara almost had a video of me showing her the batteries worked in my laser pointer but not in the toy! With a sympathetic ‘I didn’t break it, honest’ note. Luckily I eventually got it to work.
First Impressions
On first looking at the product, I was a little bit disappointed with the aesthetics. It looks like they tried to do a seamless finish but the glue hasn’t quite stuck. Therefore there is a gaping line all the way around the product. This doesn’t seem to affect the toy, it just doesn’t look pretty and has a ridge in it rather than a smooth finish. I’m not sure if this is this specific toy or if it’s like it across all of them. For present purposes, it doesn’t look good for a review.
Settings
However, boy is it good! For something that is controlled by 2 measly batteries, the Satisfyer 1 knows what it wants from you… and that’s ALL of your orgasms, PLEASE! I say please, it doesn’t particularly ask very nicely, it just takes them by surprise when you’re least expecting it. The Satisfyer 1 has a scrolling pyramid range of 11 choices and once you’ve turned the Satisfyer 1 on, it will go up to 11, and then reverse back down. You cannot go up and down, you have to go all the way to the top to come all the way back down again. UNLESS, you turn it off and start at the bottom again. It doesn’t remember where you left off which is fine because I found that dependent on my mood, depended on what setting I needed.
How It Feels
I have to say the Satisfyer 1 doesn’t necessarily bring you to an orgasm each time. If you’re not remotely horny, it’s not got a magic TA-DA instant orgasm button, you have to have some kinda feeling occurring in your nether regions, that said, if you’re a horny <censored> like me, the orgasms are pretty intense and pretty fast, and I found they occurred somewhere between 4-8 dependent. Also, I’d recommend using water-based lube for a better effect.
I’ve never owned another of the Satisfyer ranges, so cannot compare to its sister products myself. However I’m aware that my fellow Cara Sutra sex toy tester friends have reviewed the rest of the range and it sounds like they all have their own unique improvements on each other but all-in-all have the same goal. I would say, if you just wanted to see what the whole pressure/sucking motion is like without spending a lot then the Satisfyer 1 is the best starter toy you can get.
Noise Levels
It details that it has a whisper quiet mode, but I don’t feel that is the case. In fact, the motor is pretty noisy. The motor is less noisy when it’s on your clit from the motor but that’s because the noise comes out your mouth instead. I found that when you wanted more pressure, instead of pressing the button, you’d push it against you but that’s counter-productive because the air doesn’t flow through the toy as good and as such you get less feeling, so there is a balance to parting your labia and placing it on your clit and not pushing it down but making sure the seal is around your clit to get the full sucking motion.
This might sound like you have to fanny around a bit but I would say it’s entirely worth it and once you get used to the product, it’ll become second nature.
Summary
So, all in all, this toy has a thumbs up from me… I’m off to change my bed sheets now because well… this toy is good for gushing so make sure you’re prepared with fresh sheets on standby. There’s no need to lay back and think of England with this toy. I give it a 9/10 but mainly down to batteries, aesthetics and motor noise because if you can live with those issues and you know where your clit is…. You’re in for a treat.
