Pjur Power Cream Hybrid Lube Review

The Pjur Power Cream Hybrid Lube is a silicone + water hybrid lubricant which is latex condom safe. I have a few minor complaints, but overall it is a great addition to most bedrooms (or wherever you play). If you’re looking for an alternative to the usual liquid lubes that can run off your body or just want to try something different, this is a good option.

Pjur labels this product as their most powerful silicone and water based lubricant, making this a hybrid lube. It is safe for latex condoms due to its hybrid nature and it also meets the EU guidelines to be labelled as a CE-product.
This lube comes in a black plastic jar with a pop-open lid. It’s a nicer plastic jar and works well in this situation. There is a chemical smell to this product, but it’s not unreasonable for a lube and I rarely notice. My wife did comment on it the first night we used this, but I think you don’t really notice it after a while. It is a white cream that’s not unlike another “substance” you likely will encounter during sexual activity.
Using the Pjur Power Premium Cream Lubricant was my first ever use of a cream for lubricant during sex. I typically use a liquid/gel product that will work for anal play.
There were a lot of things I liked about this cream.
You simply scoop out some of this product and apply it where necessary. It lasts a long time, but when it does finally go, it leaves your skin feeling soft. It doesn’t get oily or greasy at any time. Pjur’s website says this product is great for anal sex and anal objects, even for larger sized toys. I have to agree with them. I used this cream for anal play with one of my larger toys, and it worked great. It lasted as long as I needed it to.
The Pjur Power Premium Cream Lubricant had as good of a glide capability as my favorite go-to anal lubes and I really had no complaints in that department. I was pleasantly surprised.
There were a couple of things that I wasn’t the biggest fan of. Obviously, there’s the smell. Yes, it isn’t too bad and you do stop noticing it after a while, but it would be nice if it had a little better aroma. After all, you are using it during some kind of sexual activity, so you don’t want to be thinking about bad smells instead of enjoying your time.
My other biggest complaint (still not that bad of a complaint) about the Pjur Power Premium Cream Lubricant is that it can be difficult to get the right amount of lube for a situation. The first time I went to use this with my wife, I got way too much of the lube and it was a slippery, gooey mess – and not in the good sex way.
In the case of anal play, too much lube doesn’t really exist, so there’s no problem here, but for others forms of fun, it can be a mess. It mostly just made me feel like I would be wasting a lot of this product. That’s kind of a thing each person ultimately has to decide, but as I said, it’s just a minor annoyance with the type of lube really, and not so much a reflection on Pjur or this product.
For my first adventure into cream-type lubes, I was very happy with this one. I’ll likely stick to using it for anal play as it worked great there and you can’t have too much lube, but for other forms of sexual fun I’ll still probably reach for my favorite gel-based lubes.
This Pjur Power Premium Cream Lubricant is definitely worth a try if you’ve never experienced a cream lube before as it has a lot of pros and Pjur puts out a very body-friendly lube here.
