Loving Joy Bound To Tease Blindfold Review

I was given the opportunity to review the Loving Joy Bound To Tease Blindfold for the Cara Sutra sex blog.
Finding a good blindfold can often be trickier than it seems, here are my thoughts on this one.
Packaging and First Impressions
The outer packaging of the Loving Joy Bound To Tease Blindfold is fairly basic; a clear plastic box packet with a cardboard insert. The image on the front of the packet depicts a couple in black and white and the brand logo and name is printed in a large basic font on the top of the packaging. The back of the packaging gives a little information about the product and a few suggestions as to the products use and versatility. The back of the insert also tells the product is made from a PU and leather mix and secures with a Velcro fastening.
Whilst I found the packaging functional and easy to get into as the plastic is simply pressed together it was a little too basic for me. I also found the inset to be a little cheesy, making the design just a little less in your face could really make the product appear more upmarket.
Having seen the blindfold through the clear half of the packaging I was impressed with the bright colour of the product inside, a very nice hot pink. I was looking forward to getting the blindfold unpacked.
Look and Feel of the Loving Joy Bound To Tease Blindfold
Taking the Loving Joy Bound To Tease Blindfold from the packaging, I was impressed with the overall look of this product. The pink outer and black inner is very appealing and the black stitching along the pink adds a neat touch to the colour combination.
The outer of the blindfold is a leather/leatherette and the inner is a soft suede, again another combination which works well and is a real treat for the senses. A strip of Velcro fastens the blindfold.
The Loving Joy Bound To Tease Blindfold has a great overall look and feel, at first glance it looks significantly more expensive than it is however I have to say the Velcro really lets this piece down, it looks tacky and is quite rough.
The Loving Joy Bound To Tease Blindfold In Use
After mixed feelings on this product up to this point, I was hoping the blindfold would fully redeem itself whilst in use.
Most importantly this blindfold is comfortable to wear, it is light and easy to get on and off thanks to the quick Velcro fastening, it is also very easy to get a good fit as the long Velcro strip gives some leeway in the closure. If you are fond of the smell of leather this product is a winner in that department too as the smell drifts into your nose once secured in place.
Whilst the Velcro closure has some good points, it also has a few not so good points in my opinion, as fore mentioned I think it looks quite cheap but it is also incredibly impractical with long hair too! No matter what you do it seems as though getting hair trapped cannot be avoided and can be quite irritating when wearing for a longer period of time.
Another aspect that I found particularly disappointing about this product was whilst this design should be effective in covering the eyes and keeping light out, I found that quite a lot of light still slipped through the bottom of the shields no matter how tightly the strap was closed, I’m sure this was at least partly due to the fabric at the bottom of the eye shields curing upwards which didn’t seem to be avoidable.
Overall Thoughts
Even after a number of uses the Loving Joy Bound To Tease Blindfold still splits my thoughts, on the one hand it looks great and has a very reasonable price tag but on the other I think at the very least this product should do as it states and be an effective blindfold.
