Fun Factory The Boss Stub Black Silicone Dildo Review
Thanks to the lovely team at Fun Factory, I recently received a beautiful bundle of sex toys free of charge in exchange testing them and writing up reviews here at Cara Sutra. I received the brand new Sharevibe in bright pink, the B Balls anal toy in purple and the Boss Stub dildo in black. I also received some samples of their sex lube, Toy Fluid. Today I’m going to be taking you through my thoughts and experiences with the Fun Factory The Boss Stub Dildo.
All the Fun Factory sex toys I’ve tried and tested come in immediately recognisable packaging. There’s a glossy outer card box which is colourful and bright, over an inner gold colour box which houses the specific sex toy. Each toy also comes with a little instruction leaflet which also contains details about other relevant products from the Fun Factory range.
The Boss Stub Dildo is part of the ‘Stubs’ sub-range, a collection of dildos with a flared flat base which isn’t exactly suction friendly but is most definitely strap on sex harness compatible. I recently tried out the Fun Factory Tiger Stub Dildo with my strap-on harness and the Boss Stub fits in the same way, albeit with a smooth shaft to present to your lover rather than ridged.
While the Tiger Stub Dildo is subtly phallic with a rounded tip and curved, textured shaft, the Boss Dildo is quite adamantly penile. Which just may become one of my favourite phrases. Can a dildo be adamantly penile? Well the Boss Stub certainly is. It’s not quite a ‘realistic’ dildo, with veins and balls and a frenulum, but it’s definitely not abstract either. It falls happily and beautifully between the two. There’s a prominent rounded tip which looks like a smoother version of a penis head, with a curve to the shaft that’s almost lifelike. There is also a mere ripple of implication of veins to the front of the dildo, near the base, with a bulge to please anally or vaginally before reaching the flat base.
Size wise, I’d put this dildo in the medium category. The overall length is 6.75 inches, with an insertable length of 6.5 inches and a max circumference of 5.25 inches. The diameter of the base is 3 inches across and it fits nicely into a 2 inch O ring for strap on harnesses. You can obviously use it alone as well as either a vaginal or anal toy, making this dildo a fab addition to the toy box of men, women, couples of all genders and sexualities.
I have the black Boss Stub Dildo but it’s also available in caramel and pink. It’s made of non porous, high quality silicone and the lack of scent and the smooth surface are testament to that. If you wish to use this dildo anally I would advise putting a condom on it first; this helps to avoid any nasty smells permeating the material and lingering on after washing and storage.
As it’s a silicone sex toy it’s compatible with water based and hybrid lubes, not silicone or oils.
The Boss Stub Dildo is a classy and elegant addition to our sex toy collection. It’s wonderful to have some quality pieces from the Fun Factory Stubs range to use with strap ons instead of the old school melty jelly types which can stink to high heaven, don’t store very well and are porous. Treat your bodies well: invest in silicone sex toys. By the way, if you do get light coloured silicone dildos they can pick up colour from dark fabrics so make sure you store in white pouches where possible. If stored next to other silicone products they can also erode each other, so it’s worth investing in some soft, light coloured pouches. Sadly the Fun Factory Stubs don’t seem to come with their own storage pouches, which is the only negative thing I have to say about them.
