The Doc Johnson Throbbing Hearts Rabbit Vibrator is an innovative vibrator doesn’t just deliver traditional G-Spot and clitoral massage, the shaft actually expands to stimulate internally. First Impressions
The vibrator arrived really quickly and was on my doorstep the very next morning. The packaging was plain, discreet and carried only my name. Once opened, I discovered that the Doc Johnson Throbbing Hearts Rabbit Vibrator was battery operated and requires 4 AAA which aren’t included. However, after raiding the noisiest toys of my children, it wasn’t a problem AND I have a much more peaceful home.
Battery insertion is incredibly easy; unscrew the cap at the bottom of the unit and the battery chamber slides out. Insert the batteries and screw the bottom back in. Simple!
The vibrator itself is crafted using high quality TPR rubber so it’s completely non-toxic, body safe and free from phthalates. I’d recommend using a good water-based lube so the rubber doesn’t drag on your delicate skin during play. Its shrink wrapped for health and safety reasons so I was completely reassured that the vibrator was totally unused.
Operation
To activate the Doc Johnson Throbbing Hearts Rabbit Vibrator you simply press the ON button. Immediately you see the shaft begin to pulsate and throb on a low intensity. However, this still looks pretty powerful! Increase intensity by pressing the ON button again and decrease the power with a simple press of the OFF button.
If you want to switch the rabbit vibrator off, keep pressing the OFF button until the vibrator turns off.
The clitoral bullet stimulator works as a separate entity to the shaft and is switched on using the middle BULLET button. Above this button is a smaller one name 7F, press this to scroll through 7 different modes of clitoral stimulation.
Turn off again by pressing the BULLET button.
During Use
When I first saw the Doc Johnson Throbbing Hearts Rabbit Vibrator I thought it looked amazing, although a little on the large side. It measures just over 10 inches and has a girth of 5 inches in circumference. However, around 6 inches is the insertable length and the other is made up of the operational unit so it isn’t as scary as it initially looks.
Once of the features that I liked about the Throbbing Hearts Rabbit was the tapered tip. It’s a simple feature but allows for really comfortable and seamless insertion. The ribbed shaft is thick and girthy and with lots of lubricant the gentle graze against my G-spot was delicious.
The pulsating shaft is an amazing feature and I could really feel it expand and contract against all my hotspots during use. It was easy to find the buttons to switch settings during use because they are a different shape from the BULLET button.
I felt slightly let down by the bullet because I found that it didn’t naturally find my clitoris. The flexible arm danced around it during use rather than applying the firm and direct pressure that I required. I solved this by holding the bullet against my clitoris but this restricted the movement of the vibrator.
What I really enjoyed was the range of functions offered by the bullet -they really spiced up my sessions with the Doc Johnson Throbbing Hearts Rabbit Vibrator. I loved taking my time to scroll through and thoroughly appreciate each one.

I do love a Pulse or Tease function, so I really enjoyed the wide variety of vibration modes with this vibrator. However, my favourite was the fast intense pulse combined with an intense shaft pulsation. It was absolutely heavenly… and got fast, powerful results.
For those who prefer to take a leisurely stroll during masturbation, use the low to high bullet intensity combined with the low pulsation and increase till your toes curl with pleasure.
The Doc Johnson Throbbing Hearts Rabbit Vibrator works absolutely fine in the bath or shower and is 100% waterproof as advertised on the box. I submerged it under water during use and found that there were no ill effects.
For those worried about the noise, unfortunately the Throbbing Hearts Rabbit isn’t the quietest toy. The bullet function is whisper quiet and can be used on its own but the pulsating shaft has a noisy motor. I couldn’t hear it outside the bedroom door, but found it quite noisy during use.
Summary
I really liked the Doc Johnson Throbbing Hearts Rabbit Vibrator. It retails at a very comfortable £39.99 from an online sex toy shop and I would be happy to pay that.
I like the functions and the variety of experience that this vibrator offers but would prefer the clitoral arm to be firmer and more direct as this does let the vibrator down a little.
The Throbbing Hearts Rabbit works really well in the water and if you aren’t worried about noise then it’s a great addition to your toy collection. I’ve recently reviewed toys which are triple the price of the Throbbing Hearts Rabbit, but only delivered half the pleasure.
