I was really pleased to be testing the Loving Joy Bound Nubuck Leather Solid Ball Gag for this month’s Pleasure Panel. Thank you Cara and Loving Joy for giving me this opportunity.
Packaging
This ball gag is packaged in a clear sealed plastic bag. Once removed from the bag, I was pleased that the ball itself is hygienically sealed with plastic wrap. Attached to the buckle of the leather strap, is a tag with the product name, along with some product information.
First Impressions
The ball gag looks luxurious, the brown Nubuck leather straps looks fantastic again the gold studs and O-rings. As its made from leather it smells amazing. The leather is high quality, and it appears to be well constructed and the stitching is neat and tidy. The leather straps are padded, for added comfort. First impressions were good, however, upon closer inspection I noticed some glue on the ball, just at the join were the two halfs of the ball were glued together. It didn’t bother me that much because the ball goes in your mouth so you don’t see it, but I though it was worth mentioning.
Specs
The ball gag is 23″ in overall length. It is fully adjustable with a buckle fastening with seven holes, and the usable circumference is 15″ to 19″ The ‘Ball’ is made from silicone rubber, and it is completely odourless. It measures at 5.5″ in circumference and 1.75″ in diameter. The gag features 2 gold metal O-rings at either sides, allowing you to attach other restraints e.g. Rope, leads, nipple clamps.
During Use
The Loving Joy Bound Nubuck Leather Solid Ball Gag feels very comfortable to wear. The straps felt soft against my cheeks and the ‘ball’ has a little bit of give to it, so its gentle on your teeth. It fitted me comfortably on the sixth hole of the strap, once on, there was no way I was getting this gag off its very strong and secure. I like to wear gags quite tight so that I can’t spit the ball out, but if you’re a beginner you can wear it a bit looser.
I love wearing a gag during bondage play, as it makes the session much more intense. Wearing this gag immediately put me into my “submissive place” and I felt instantly aroused. It also kept me silent, I could only grunt or moan wearing this gag. I also drooled a LOT, the pillow below me was soaked. I would recommend building up the time, using the gag, as you tend to get jaw ache if used for long periods. Just remember to close your mouth slowly, after removing the gag, and massage your jaw.
After use, I cleaned the ball with a damp cloth sprayed with sex toy cleaner. As the straps are leather I recommend using a Nubuck leather cleaner to keep the gag in good condition.
Overall, I was impressed with this ball gag. The only minor negative was the finish on the Ball, that aside, it still performed very well. As the ball is quite large I wouldn’t recommend this gag to beginners.
All in all, I think the Loving Joy Bound Nubuck Leather Solid Ball Gag is a great addition to anyone’s bondage collection, and its available to buy from Loving Joy for only £19.99.
