First Impressions

The Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibrator arrived in a white box, with the turquoise and blue Happy Rabbit® branding. A full-size photograph of the rabbit vibrator in profile orientation is on the front of the box. The left-hand side panel shows a full-size head-on photograph of the rabbit. The features listed on the front of the box state that the beaded rabbit has 12 functions, is rechargeable (via an included USB lead), is waterproof and has a travel lock.

There is some marketing information on the rear of the box and the rabbit’s main features are highlighted in the turquoise circular graphics.

  • The long ears have ‘3 intense speeds and 9 patterns for profound pleasure.’
  • A second ‘powerful motor transmits 3 speeds of rotations along the shaft.’
  • The smooth silicone shaft has ‘a collection of inbuilt beads’ that ‘whirl around for your pleasure.’

Charging

To charge the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibrator, simply plug the jack of the supplied USB cable into the rear of the rabbit at the bottom. The USB end can either go into a wall adaptor (preferable for more effective charging) or into your laptop / PC. A red light will illuminate whilst the Happy Rabbit is charging, which takes about 2.5 hours. Once the Happy Rabbit is fully charged, the light will go green.

Using the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibrator

The rotation in the shaft is operated via the larger button, and you simply keep pressing to go through the 3 speed settings. Press and hold this button for a few seconds to switch off the shaft’s rotation.

Vibrations in the rabbit ears are switched on by pressing the smaller round button. Again, you repeatedly press this button to alternate through the 3 speeds and then the 6 patterns. Hold the button a few seconds to switch off the rabbit ears.

A travel lock feature is included to prevent either the shaft or ears accidentally being switched on during transit. Hold both buttons for two seconds to activate the travel lock, causing a ‘double buzz.’ To deactivate the travel lock, press and hold both buttons for 2 seconds. If you put the rabbit on to charge, this will also deactivate the travel lock.

The shaft of the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibratorhas an impressive 5 ¼ inches of insertable length. Its circumference at the widest point is 4.5 inches. Happy Rabbit’s ears measure just over an inch long. Silicone can be either draggy or a lint magnet in some cases. Happily, for the Happy Rabbit whilst it does attract a bit of fluff it doesn’t seem to become absolutely covered like some silicone toys. It is also soft and silky to the touch, with ears that are firm enough to direct pressure appropriately around my clitoris and inner labia, without being ouch-inducing.

I find when I use the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibrator, I need to push it all the way in and have it almost horizontal. If I angle it too much by flexing my wrist, it can sometimes catch against my pubic bone. That is not the most comfortable feeling, so deeper and ‘flatter-seated’ is best. The vibrating patterns don’t really do much for me if I’m honest, and I’m not sure why 9 are necessary. I prefer the continuous vibrations in increasing intensity, so will mainly use the first 3 settings for the ears.

Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibrator Review

When I held the ears against the tip of my nose, I felt that the vibrations were reasonably rumbly, so those who prefer more power will hopefully find that the Happy Rabbit delivers enough oomph! As for the shaft, the rotations are sufficiently powerful, and you can feel the beads revolving under the silicone.

At the higher speed, the noise does get more high-pitched, whirring somewhat like a mini blender! But if you have some music going I’m sure you can disguise the sound if you live in shared accommodation or have inquisitive little ones.

In terms of its orgasmic capability, the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibrator does elicit strong blended climaxes. To reach orgasm can take 15-20 minutes or so in my experience, though sometimes maybe the testing process is making me analyse the toy so much that it distracts from what it is meant to do! Occupational hazard, but if I’m more relaxed and not thinking about the toy’s performance I can orgasm more swiftly.

Final Thoughts

I feel that given the price of the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibrator it should have a sturdier packaging and perhaps a storage bag. The noise of the shaft’s rotation can be a bit off-putting at the highest speed. For these reasons, I will deduct points. I think the Lovehoney Desire rabbit is probably better in these two regards, and for the quality of its finish. So, if you were to choose between the two, I’d consider the Desire over the Happy Rabbit. That is my opinion.

Overall, I’d rate the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Beaded G-Spot Vibrator 8/10.
