I have used a couple of cock rings in the past, with varying success. Metal ones are too round, pulling in in place and loose in others. Non-adjustable silicone ones are hard to fit perfectly, and are too stretchy to give enough constriction. Vibrating cock rings usually have a large vibrating contraption that gets in the way. This was my first time using an adjustable cock ring, and as much as I looked forward to using the Boneyard Silicone Cock Strap, I didn’t have high hopes that it would perform much better than all the other cock rings that I have tried.

I rather liked the packaging of the Boneyard Silicone Cock Strap. A rather masculine edge to it, with skulls and colours the reminded me of manly construction sites and power tools, but with details that suggested a company that didn’t take itself too seriously! The name ‘Boneyard’ amused me, and the tag line at the bottom ‘Bone for Life’ is rather ridiculous in a funny way.
There is very little information on the back. It does show how to wear the Boneyard Silicone Cock Strap, but only in one orientation. It doesn’t say whether to put it on before or after getting hard, or if there is a maximum amount of time or tightness for wearing the cock ring. It does say it is safe to use with all lubricants, which is strange as silicone can be affected by some lubricants. We only use water based, so it wasn’t an issue for us anyway.
I started by using the Boneyard Silicone Cock Strap by myself, to work out sizes and fitting. This turned out to be a good idea, as I readjusted several times to find the right fitting. This would have damaged the mood if my girlfriend had been with me!
My usual preference for a cock ring is around just the base of the penis. I tried to use 2 snap adjusters for this, so as not to have too much loose strap flapping around. This didn’t give a tight enough fit, and I am slightly above average girth wise. I have to overlap the strap quite a bit on the tightest setting, only connecting with one snap adjuster to get enough constriction to make a difference. This was very comfortable and felt nice, but it was a nuisance having a loose metal adjuster flapping around at each end. It did do the job though! I had a solid, swollen erection, and it very much pushed out my veins, giving a lot of detail. Some people might not like the vascular look, but I thought that it looked great!
I’m not such a fan of having a cock ring around the scrotum and penis, but I gave a go. As the Boneyard Silicone Cock Strap is adjustable, it went on very easily, and sat comfortably around everything. It did give me a nice looking erection again, but I just didn’t find it as comfortable.
I did find that after I took off the cock strap that my erection was bigger and harder than usual for a while afterwards.
After finding a good fitting, my girlfriend and I put it to a proper test. I only used it wrapped around the base of my penis, but this felt great! It did help me last longer than usual, and when I came, it felt very strong.
The usual guidelines for cock rings is to only wear them for a maximum of 20 minutes, but the packaging didn’t mention this. I decided to follow the usual advice.
After use, the packaging recommends soap and water. I used a standard sex toy cleaner.
Conclusion
The Boneyard Silicone Cock Strap was probably the best cock ring that I have tried. I do recommend it for beginners and more experienced users due to the options for sizes and positioning. Definitely going to be using it regularly!
