Pipedream Handy Man Masturbation Sleeve

Passion 8’s contribution to the June £5 or less Sex Toy Challenge is the Pipedream Handy Man Masturbation Sleeve, which is a male sex toy. With plenty of sex toys for men on their site, they were hopeful about this ultra low priced sleeve from such a top brand name as Pipedream.

As an aside, the delivery from Passion 8 was fast and discreet, as you’d expect from a professional, well established sex toy company.

The Handy Man Masturbation Sleeve costs £4.99 and comes in a foil style wrapper, keeping it in new and pristine condition from time of manufacture, through transit and delivery to your door. The foil wrapper opens by tearing the end off the wrapper. If someone had tampered with this before you get it, you’d know about it.

Reassuring.

Opening the packet reveals a pretty pink colour masturbation sleeve. Ok, I get why it’s pink. Mostly. Pink is synonymous with flesh, particularly in our majorly Caucasian culture. White flesh isn’t even pink (or white, come to that), but for some reason many sleeves, dolls and dildos are pink in colour. Cultural conditioning? Perhaps. I’m not sure what other colours would have been acceptable for men – black, white, blue, a choice of cream flesh or brown flesh maybe? Pink was a slightly lazy choice in my opinion.

The Handy Man Sleeve is rather flat. It reminds me of an envelope. When laid down, it has a width of approximately half a centimetre. You need to open the rounded flaps at the edge (well, what would YOU call them), then prise them apart to reveal the inner area which is covered with many short TPR strands.

Use is fairly simple and should come naturally to most men: lube up and slide in. Baste thoroughly and jostle vigorously to achieve an appetite sating climax.

That’s the theory anyway, and we were soon ready to put this sleeve to the test.

The good

Low price
Hygienically sealed packet
Soft, comfortable material
Easy to use & clean
Water resistant

The bad

TPR material, not compatible with silicone lubricant
Internal nodules can’t be felt during use
Porous material retains intimate scents even after washing
Attracts dust during storage

The verdict

WINHand Job

Well this toy actually works! I know, I was surprised too. Less than a fiver and he ‘enjoyed the experience’ in not much time at all. Hey now, it wasn’t seconds; but it didn’t exactly take hours either – you get me?

It was easy to use, just squirted some lube both on his penis and into the tube to minimise any potential uncomfortable chafing; he then slid inside as I enveloped his penis with it. The nodules don’t really ‘tickle’ during use as much as just forming nubs on the inside of the sleeve which massage him to orgasm. The lubricant is a must with this sleeve, it would have been very uncomfortable otherwise.

Typically, the first win for the June £5 or less sex toy challenge and it was a toy for him!

Solo Use

During solo use, he took a bit longer to climax, as is to be expected. This sleeve still did the job though. He said it was easy to use and felt great, much nicer than just using his hand alone. Not as lavish as a Fleshlight, but then it does only cost £4.99.

After use for all occasions the Handy Man Sleeve was easy to clean, just turn inside out and rinse with soapy water. I would advise that you do this with tepid water so any scents don’t remain in the material, which does seem to be porous, unfortunately. I would also advise you therefore to spray the material after washing, with an anti bacterial sex toy cleaner, leaving this on for at least one minute, before rinsing and drying thoroughly. I leave the sleeve inside out once dried, to make sure it gets a proper airing.

The sleeve is quite durable. For the price I was expecting it to be thin and rip on the first go, making it a disposable toy, but I can see this lasting for years.

The Handy Man Sleeve stores in a small space so you could even grab a few to take away on travels. After all, women have their bullet vibrators and love eggs to enjoy, so men should have a low priced, entertaining alternative too.

If you’re quite insane, like me, you can also draw eyes on it and put lipstick on the edges so it looks like a seductive fish during use.
