So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator Review

By Pleasure Panel reviewer GenderQueer

Having already tried two other toys by So Divine (both butt plugs), I was excited to this time try out one of their vibrators. Its floral design first caught my eye a while ago so I was eager to see how the shape would work for me. The main appeal of the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator had always been the bulbous shape of its head and how it could feel when used internally.

So Divine’s style of packaging is simple and tasteful. The box the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator comes in is no exception; it’s sturdy and can work for long term storage of the toy. The front of the box shows the design of the toy and the back of the packaging lists some of the vibrator’s functions and features, it also has instructions for use and charging of the toy. Other So Divine toys that I own have included a storage bag but this one didn’t.

The first thing I noticed when I took the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator out of its packaging was its solid build. The shaft is entirely solid and straight with no ‘give’ to it. I find solid vibes like this work well for me clitorally as I require quite a bit of pressure on my clit.

The So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator measures 7 inches in total length but the usable length of the toy is closer to 5 inches. It has a diameter of 1.5 inches at its widest point.

This is a rechargeable toy which means there’s no rush to find batteries, it does however mean that you need to fully charge it before its first use. The charging system of the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator is magnetic which appeals to me as I usually trust magnetically charged toys more when it comes to claims of being waterproof. This is even listed as being submersible. Another bonus with this is that is is not only USB rechargeable but So Divine is thoughtful enough to also include a wall plug. I’m a fan of rechargeable toys but I don’t like plugging them into my laptop and I find that very few toys include an actual wall plug.

Getting the magnetic connection just right on this can be tricky at times but I have found that’s been an issue with every magnetically charged toy I’ve previously tried. As it is a that little bit tricky it can take a few attempts to get it aligned just right. Once you have the placement right you will see a light flashing near the power button to indicate that the vibe is charging. Once it is charging you do just need to be careful not to knock or move the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator as it can affect that connection. One full charge can offer up to two hours of play. I’m not much of a power queen so for me I’ve found I do get those two hours of use as I mostly use its lower settings.

The controls of the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator are about as simple as it gets. There is a single power button which switches the toy on and scrolls through all of the toys functions. This offers three levels of steady vibration and seven different pulsing modes. I usually stick to steady vibrations when I’m playing so a lot of these functions are wasted on me but I know others out there love a good pulsing mode!

When switching the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator on you need to hold down its single button for a few seconds. The first mode is the lowest steady vibration mode and it works well for getting warmed up. I got into a routine with this toy where I would start on the lowest steady vibration setting and finish on the middle steady setting. I would generally reach orgasm very soon after changing to the middle setting! There is a third steady vibration setting for those who need more power but I personally found it more numbing than stimulating. The vibrations this offers are buzzy rather than deep or rumbly.

While you need to hold the power button down for several seconds when switching the toy on: you don’t need to hold it down when going from one setting to the next. In my first few session with this I made the mistake of holding it in such a way that I would accidentally press the power button mid-play. After a few sessions I learnt to hold the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator differently and that stopped happening. This isn’t a vibrator that remembers the last setting you used, it always starts up on the low steady vibration mode.

The silicone So Divine uses in its toys is velvety soft with just a little bit of drag so it requires lube. I always added a drop of water based lube to the tip of the vibe even for external play/clitoral play. It requires a little more for internal play and it becomes quite slick.

As I suspected; the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator suited me really well for clitoral use as the rigid shaft carries vibrations well and provided enough pressure for me. It was comfortable enough for internal play too as it’s not very textured. The bulbous shape and petal design provided just enough texture for me given how solid the shaft is. I didn’t get much G-spot stimulation from this but I knew from the beginning that such a straight shaft wasn’t designed for that. The battery life was all that it had promised. I got many quick solo sessions out of one charge.

Cleaning the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator is easy. I felt comfortable fully cleaning mine under warm water and lathering up a mild soap on it before rinsing. It is meant to be a waterproof toy so this not only opens up possibilities for shower and bath play but it also takes away any worry when holding it under water. The shape of the shaft isn’t too textured so the petal design is the only part that really requires extra attention. I tend to stick with mild soap to clean my toys but you can buy cleaners that are specifically made for toys.

This was the first vibrating toy that I have tried from So Divine’s range and it wasn’t long before I added another of their vibrators to my collection. My main interest was in using this internally but it surprised me by becoming one of favourite ‘go-to’ toys for quick clitoral orgasms. I would sum the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator up as a simple and reliable vibe and I found myself using it in almost every solo session I had in the month after I got it. I was so impressed that I quickly added the So Divine ‘Kiss Kiss’ rabbit vibrator to my collection for when I want a different type of stimulation.

The build, quality of silicone and battery life of the So Divine Ooh La La Flower Vibrator were so ideal that I have high hopes for my next So Divine Toy too.

I would give this a rating of 8 out of 10.
