Ouch! Deluxe Hand & Legcuffs

Ever since spying the Ouch! range of bondage restraints and kinky accessories at EroFame a couple of years back, I needed to own some. Looking at the range on the Shots Toys stand, it seemed to me the perfect blend of practical, luxurious and comfortable – with affordable prices to boot.

Happily, after talking to my lovely contact at SexHealth, they acquiesced to my somewhat ranty demands (joke) and agreed to send me an item from the range. So here I am, reviewing the gorgeous Ouch! Deluxe Hand and Leg Cuffs for you, my lovely readers.

Although this set is called the Deluxe Hand and Leg Cuffs set, I would call it a Hog Tie or at least a versatile bondage system. You can do so much more with it than just restrain somebody’s wrists and ankles.

But we will get to that in due course.

To begin, I would like to commend SexHealth on their discreet and fast postage, thank you. Also, the item itself was packed securely and Shots Toys have ensured that brand new feel with the central metal ring covered with plastic and the restraints being tagged with the official Shots Ouch! range tag including barcode.

The restraints themselves are of a solid, decent weight thanks to the steel central ring and the connecting rings, while the black cuffs are strong, plaited fabric which although isn’t actual rope, is in a rope style. It won’t chafe or fray; it’s excellent quality.

Ouch Ouch

The set is simple and fantastic in design. The central ring has four metal rings permanently attached to it; to these you can clip the four wrist and ankle cuffs. Each cuff is attached to the trigger style clip ring with two metal rings of their own, meaning they slip off the trigger clip ring and around your intended’s wrist or ankle. Then slip the cuff’s metal ring back into the trigger clip ring.

Ouch Ouch

The style of these wrist and ankle cuffs mean they can be used either with or without the central, hog tie style metal 4 way connector.

I can’t see much of a difference in size between the wrist and ankle restraints, although I imagine two of the cuffs to be slightly bigger than the other two. It could be my imagination however.

They’re quite difficult to measure but you can see on the pictures how they fit and how long they look laid out.

Ouch

Once the trigger clips are a complete ring, they are smooth and don’t have any sharp or rough areas like some of the cheaper restraint sets are prone to having. You can tell you have a high quality piece of kit. The cuffs, being made of thick, twisted fabric, are deceptively strong. There’s no chance of these things ripping, no matter how strong you think you are.

The restraints feel lovely around your wrist or ankle, unlike metal cuffs which can really bloody hurt, particularly if you move your feet in them. The ankle bone against rigid metal = a proper OUCH and not in a good way.

Ouch

What I adore most about this set is that it fits in perfectly with my, and I suppose anyone’s, existing bondage and fetish toy box. As the cuffs come with a trigger clip ring, they can be used to connect your partner’s wrist(s) or ankle(s) in any combination or number, to a variety of other BDSM equipment. The wrist cuffs can be clipped up to some O rings on a collar for instance, or to loops on the side of a chastity belt. The ankle cuffs could be clipped to the O or D rings on a spreader bar or hobble bar. The possibilities, probably like your play session in these cuffs, are endless.

Ouch

During play, the cuffs are easily slipped on and used for whatever bondage ideas you have in mind. I do have an underbed bondage system already but you could even get yourself some long tethers, rope or bungee leads to slip under your mattress, add some loops or O rings and clip your cuffs to them during kinky sex or other play sessions.

Additionally, if using as wrist cuffs, they connect to each other either in front of your partner/sub or behind their back. Same with the ankle cuffs, you can connect them to each other.

You could even lock two people together, either face to face or back to back. Kinky…

For the traditional hog tie you need to get your person (love, partner, wife, random sub – lol) on their belly. It’s easiest if you have detached the cuffs from the central ring first. Put the cuffs on their wrists and ankles. Then stick the metal central section in the middle of their back and attach each cuff to one of the 4 metal rings on the central section. They’ll splay a bit (the person, I mean) but once you have them all connected it keeps them trussed up and restrained like… well, a hog.

I’ve had so much fun with this restraint kit and it’s only the beginning of my plans. The set has unisex appeal due to the black colour and neutral design, as well as being able to be used by persons of any sexuality. It is sturdy, resilient, comfortable and can be used for soft bondage and kinky sex in the bedroom all the way up to extreme BDSM sessions if you so wish.

Loving this set and can’t find fault with it at all and that’s the truth. Ok it’s £52 but look at what you’re getting for your money. This set will last you for years and is comfortable (have I said that already) and so versatile it’s amazing. The perfect investment to help you discover the delicious and exotic delights of bondage and kink.
