iGino One USB Rechargeable Vibrator Review

You may have heard about a new little sex toy that’s causing ripples through the sex toy blogging and reviewing communities. The iGino One isn’t like any other manufactured vibrator I have seen available for purchase on the market, it both looks, moves and feels completely unique.

igino_one_vibratorThe iGino One first came to my attention through an email directly from the iGino team, who made me aware that the iGino was on IndieGogo as a project that required funding, however they were very optimistic and would I like to review it once it was ready. I answered yes, as it sounded very interesting and different then didn’t give it too much thought after that, as many start up projects like this are launched for them to just fall into nothing, with no funds raised.

I was therefore pleasantly surprised upon receiving an email that the iGino One was indeed ready and that it would shortly be with me in the post. Sure enough, a few days later it arrived in discreet & safe packaging, so I was very pleased indeed.

If you’d like to watch a little background about the iGino One, there is a handy little video here presented by the inventor herself. Yes, it’s been invented by a woman, predominantly for women. Love it.

My initial impressions?

Firstly, that it looks similar to something a friend has been using for a good long while in place of an actual sex toy, because she says it feels better. It works. It’s an old Phillips lady shaver without the head attachment, and the internal mechanism exposed moves in a very similar fashion to the nub of the iGino One. Freaky coincidence!

Secondly, that the packaging was very professional, clean cut, stylish and very similar to Apple iPhone boxes and with the peelable transparent stickers that make you feel like you’re really uncovering something special and valuable as you deflower your new technological treasure.

With the iGino One you get (apart from the swanky box) the iGino One sex toy itself, a soft feel labelled storage pouch with drawstring top, a USB charging lead attachment, full instructions, shaver socket charging attachments, spare foam collars and something I can only describe as a ‘nub numbing’ foam flower attachment.

The iGino One itself measures 2 inches across the front, 3.75 inches in height and 0.6 inches in depth.

You operate the iGino One by switching it on at the side, with a simple on or off mode. There is one speed, which is quite powerful – much more powerful than a standard bullet vibrator, and the precise nub means it delivers this power intensely and directly to the clitoris.

As the lady says in the presentation video, it moves both much faster than the human finger but also in the same manner, that is from side to side. So by using it one way or another, you can choose to manipulate your clitoris with the uber fast moving nub either from side to side or up and down, depending on how you hold the iGino One.

If you find the bare nub too powerful, there is a flower style wide collar that you can use over the nub to soften it slightly, for those who are very sensitive or fragile. We’re not either of those things in this house!

The things that detract from the iGino One are the fact that it is not waterproof, but also the incredibly loud noise. I understand that it was probably unavoidable due to the power output, but if you’re after a discreet sex toy, this isn’t for you. With that fair warning in mind, if you don’t mind belting out some bedroom noise, it’s a winner. Let’s face it, being loud didn’t stop the international success of the Hitachi Wand Vibrator. The speed is perfection (or so my lady says, I am on my 60 Day Vibe Chastity still – dammit!) and it’s simple and easy to use.

After use you can simply wipe and place the lid back on that keeps the dust and dirt out.

It doesn’t take batteries, it’s a USB rechargeable sex toy. Another win, and it’s made even simpler by way of the flip out USB at the base of the toy. If you don’t want to plug it directly into the USB port that you have, or the location makes it difficult, there is a longer USB lead provided in the box, as well as shaver adaptors to make charging easy even when travelling. It is simple to charge from the side of a laptop or from the PC – and it doesn’t look like any other sex toy – in fact it looks like a techy device, a cute cigarettes holder or somesuch other gadgetry or wizardry. Discreet in plan view.

Due to the noise and the lack of waterproof capabilities I should probably give this toy a 7 or 8 out of 10. However, because I love it so much – the unique design, the power, the USB flip out recharging, the modern sleek and techy style – I am going to fly in the face of logic and give the iGino One a stupendous 9 out of 10. Hey, I already have a lot of waterproof sex toys and I don’t care about the noise either!

Additional giggle: One of the warnings in the instructions is not to use the iGino One on the eyes. I despair at the human race that they felt this warning was necessary.

So, if you have tired eyes, remember: no vibrators to the eyeballs. Got it? Good.

The iGino One is listed to be sold at $99 which is the equivalent to approximately £64 which is pretty decent in my opinion.

Update:  Well I have tried the iGino One for myself now and it is brilliant. In fact my fiancee will be lucky to ever get another go on it. Ok so it’s not waterproof but it’s just so easy to charge up, slip into a USB port and wait til fully charged.

The vibrating nodule is so powerful and the vibrations are concentrated in that area rather than travelling through the device and through your hand, so you don’t get numb fingers or pins and needles.

It doesn’t take me long at all to orgasm when using the iGino One for clitoral stimulation.

Highly recommended to all!
