Perlesque Artemis Vibrator Review

By Pleasure Panel reviewer Red Divine

Many thanks to Cara Sutra and the Pleasure Panel, as well as Perlesque for the opportunity to review the Perlesque Artemis Vibrator.

The Perlesque Artemis Vibrator comes under the category of a standard vibrator. It is a straight toy with no G spot curve or bulbous end, just a sleek, proportional vibrator with 3 vibration settings and a usable length of 18.5cm.

I’m happy to say the Perlesque Artemis Vibrator is waterproof, however unfortunately not rechargeable. I do hope this is something Perlesque will maybe change in the future. Rechargeable toys are always preferable to me. Scrabbling around for new batteries when you want to use a specific toy is always frustrating so cross fingers this is something they will look into. It appears that some of their other products are rechargeable so if this is important to you then check out the other options. They do come with batteries included though as a plus point.

Perlesque states that their main aim is ‘your pleasure’ and their little tag line of ‘Always a pleasure’ is cute and understated and makes me hope it will indeed be a pleasure to use the Artemis!

A quick run through on the presentation. The Perlesque Artemis Vibrator arrives in a lovely solid box in a soft grey with a creamy, peachy base and very discreet markings. I love that it also has a storage bag and the product itself is secured in a moulded insert with a little envelope containing a small booklet with all of their products and a quick run through on whether  it’s waterproof, how many settings, batteries or rechargeable and a general overview.

It feels luxurious and discreet and makes me think of what you would expect a high quality product to be presented like. At a cost of £40.00 the Artemis definitely doesn’t have a premium toy price tag but also not one of the cheapest so does it live up to its price?

The Perlesque Artemis is a gorgeous soft grey silicone vibe. Nice to see a company staying away from the curse of the BPP (Black, Pink, Purple) designs and choosing something that feels almost designer in its smooth, fuss free design and more neutral colour. A vibrator doesn’t have to be a glaring pink for women it is a product that could be used by any gender, as well as solo or as a couple. A heads up though this wouldn’t be safe for anal use as there is no flared base however external anal stimulation could work fantastic for men or women.

The Perlesque Artemis Vibrator is controlled by a single push button on the base of the vibrator. It has 3 settings that each press cycles through and the final press turns it off. I like this as there is no press and hold for delayed switch off however you do have to go through all 3 settings before it will switch off.  I’m not sure how I feel about this, on one hand it’s great not having to press and hold for a few seconds to switch the power off but you still have the delay as you have to cycle through, however with only  3 settings  this doesn’t take long. So mixed feels on the power controls.

The button is a nice sturdy one though and no fiddling and if you half press it between intensities it stops so you do have the option to tease yourself or partner with a stop start and create patterns of your own if this is your thing.

There is an extra ridge around the base after the screw battery compartment that is a little unnecessary and will need attention on cleaning so make sure you get into all the nooks and crannies, being waterproof will make this much easier though.

The silicone is nice and soft and has a matt feels so does tend to be a bit of a dust magnet but this is a small price to pay for body safe material and a quick rinse before use will sort that out in no time. Remember to use water based lube so as not to damage the silicone, lube will also alleviate any drag the matt finish may have.

The power of the vibrations aren’t too bad. They don’t have that awesome rumble that I’m always craving for yet they aren’t a sharp, stinging buzz either. They pack a punch and I definitely came during use.

It’s actually been a long time since I had a basic vibrator, everything I’ve used lately has been either a dual stimulator or a small bullet so it was quite nice to use a somewhat basic vibe for a change. I can’t say the Perlesque Artemis Vibrator blew my mind but it was good fun, simple and effective.

I guess I’ve been spoilt with other products that have erm..come my way but I found this a pleasant toy to use. Not one that’s going to have me clawing at the sheets in 2 minutes flat but a nice lazy jog to orgasm rather than a sprint. (Definitely the only kind of jogging I like!)

I used the Perlesque Artemis Vibrator both internally and externally. Inserting it is nice and easy due to its softly tapered end, a bit of water based lube always helps too. The length is comfortable and the vibrations are felt quite deeply. Externally over my clit was actually great, the tapered end allowed for pin point stimulation and the choice for broader contact by using the side. The vibrations definitely tipped me over the edge after playing for a while, although I was always searching for at least one more power up!

I also felt a greedy moment and used the Artemis on full whack internally and added a strong bullet vibe on my clit and wow it was like my entire pelvic region was on a spin cycle..In the best way. It was pretty intense and very orgasmic.

I can’t say I’m raving over the Perlesque Artemis Vibrator but there’s not really anything to dislike. It’s pretty powerful, body safe, it is quite noisy unfortunately but it’s also waterproof. It does all it needs to do for a standard vibrator.

I love the presentation and I think Perlesque have created a really lovely product. I would definitely like to try more from their range, and I’m excited to see where they go in the future. I’m pretty sure I will use the Perlesque Artemis Vibrator again and it could be great fun brought into the mix with a partner, no dangly, sticky out or bumpy bits to get in the way.

A lovely product that didn’t raise the roof but does what it says on the box 🙂 My hopes would be for Perlesque to make it waterproof and add an extra power level or 2.
