Maestra by LS Hilton Book Review

By Pleasure Panel reviewer Joanne’s Reviews

This is my first book review and I apologise for how long it took to write. I basically read the whole book (Maestra by LS Hilton) twice before even starting the review.

Maestra by LS Hilton Book ReviewThe book has a very surprising twist to it with the plot starting in London and following the exploits of Judith, a young professional who works in an auction house.  The writer draws you into every scene with great descriptive detail making you feel that you could be there.

Judith is a truly surprising character, who is initially a young woman who is struggling to make a name for herself and climb the ladder at her place of work.  Then after meeting an old friend she is introduced into another way to earn some extra cash and her life changes in an extremely surprising way.

The writer introduces each character well, allowing you to picture the character, and have a good insight into their personalities; you may even find yourself connecting with a few of them.

This book certainly turned out to be completely different to the book I thought I was going to read, I really never knew what was going to be on the next page, with the writer adding so many new twists and turns that seemingly flow into each other so smoothly and this is a good thing – this is a truly remarkable book.

Every scene was written well, with the writer giving detailed descriptions when the scene called for it, really building up the environment and characters in your mind’s eye.

Maestra by LS Hilton really grips you (yes I read it twice), making you want to know what is on the next page, holding your attention and making it very difficult to put down.

I really enjoyed reading this book, but it is definitely one not to let someone under-age, or who is easily shocked read.  There are some very vivid sexual scenes in this book and other scenes that would not be suitable for everyone.  But this isn’t a quick exotic novel to read, it isn’t just sex scenes with no bulk to the story which is why it kept me riveted.

I am not saying that there aren’t any extremely well described erotic scenes to enjoy (and enjoy them I did), but they are not the whole bulk of the story, it is more of a well written novel interspersed with some incredibly steamy action rather than the other way round.

The writer keeps the intrigue going all the way to the end of the book, leaving you in the end eager to read the next one to see how Judith continues with her exploits and I am looking forward to seeing what she gets up to next.

Maestra by LS Hilton is definitely a great book to check out.
