Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo Review

By Cara Sutra

The Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo does exactly what it says on the tin. Well, mostly. This realistic style dildo has the veins, frenulum and exposed penis tip design you’d expect to see on a realistic dildo, and it’s in a fairly attractive purple colour rather than the shocking pink I’ve come to expect from Lyps sex toys.

Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo Review

I received the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo as part of the Lyps Bag Of Dicks set I was sent just before Christmas 2016, in order to test out the 8 products enclosed and write reviews here at CaraSutra. Here’s a graphic I made which I’ve found helpful when remembering all the toy’s names – I hope you find it helpful too:

Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo Review

Let’s start at the beginning with the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo.

Packaging

If you’ve been following my other Lyps sex toy reviews, you’ll be bored of this by now. Like the rest of the collection, the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo came in a pink box, shrink-wrapped in cellophane for hygiene reassurance. The box just has the Lyps logo on the front and is short on details on the back – pretty much just a product reference number.

I wish the Lyps sex toys boxes had the product names on, as well as an image or even a diagram of what’s inside. The boxes don’t look luxurious right now. It doesn’t look to me like any budget has been spent on the professional presentation of these toys. Still, at least the products are boxed and then shrink-wrapped so you know they’ve not been tampered with.

Inside The Box

Due to the above, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I opened the box. I expected another shocking pink vibrator so it was refreshing to a) see a dildo and b) for that dildo to not be pink.

Inside the box I found a Lyps storage pouch and a small leaflet as well as the main event, the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo. The leaflet was just a little promotional flyer telling you how to claim a freebie if you leave an honest review on Amazon.

First Impressions

It’s purple, it’s realistically designed, it’s a dildo, oh and it has balls – and a suction cup base. The dildo is curved, I expect that’s for G-Spot stimulation. There’s no scent to it, and it feels like silicone not some dodgy material like jelly or TPE – that’s good.

Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo Review

Those were my first thoughts upon seeing the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo. My thoughts then moved on to other related things, like:

  • Isn’t this dildo a bit too bendy for good G-spot stimulation, even with that curve?
  • Does the suction cup really work or is it one of those which slides about with just a bit of movement?
  • Will I really be able to feel those veins or are they just to make it look pretty? If you find penises pretty, of course
  • Looks a bit slim up top… am I going to enjoy inserting this vaginally or will I be wishing it was girthier?
  • How am I going to review this when I already know I need a vibrating clitoral sex toy on top to get me off? I don’t orgasm just from vaginal penetration/stimulation!

As you can probably tell, dildos aren’t my favourite type of sex toy. They add to a masturbation (or sex) session, but on their own I find them pretty meh. I can use them on my partner, with the help of a strap on harness, but I wanted to review this toy for its effect on me. Not as a tool to use on someone else.

Video

Here’s a short video clip showing the suction cup strength of the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo, and how bendy it is. You should be able to get a better view of the realistic detailing too:

How It Feels

How did the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo feel? Ok. It didn’t rock my world, but then I wasn’t expecting it to as I don’t orgasm from vaginal stimulation alone. I do need to use a clit toy along with it, like a bullet vibrator or a wand vibe. As I’m focusing on giving my clitoris the buzzing attention it needs to bring me to climax, I can only jiggle the dildo so much. I only have two hands!

Probably don’t need to point this out, but I have used the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo while lying down. It’s just too difficult to get the stimulation I need when standing.

The veins add a bit more stimulation, but I wouldn’t say it feels as textured as a ribbed or noduled dildo. The veins are nice as they become enveloped vaginally. If I can use the dildo without additional lube (than just my own natural lubrication) then the feeling from the veins is more pronounced. However as I usually need to use water based lube with the dildo, the veins sensation is minimised to say the least.

Suction Cup

The suction cup *is* strong – strong enough to stick to a tiled wall or the side of the bath. However it’s a bit difficult to get the right height/angle if I wanted to stick it on the bathroom/shower wall and fuck myself doggy style with it. The floor gets a bit slippery in the shower and I don’t want to go crashing through the doors, and rather than get on my hands and knees next to the bathroom wall, I prefer the comfort of my bed.

I tried to use the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo on the side of the bath but due to the length I find the tip pokes my cervix quite annoyingly when I’m sat properly down on it. That means I’m hovering over, bobbing up and down to get the stim I want, and at my age the knees are starting to go a bit. Again, more comfortable in bed. If you’re younger and more flexible than me you might love this position; I could use a bullet vibrator on my clit no problem here. I simply found the dildo to be a spare part though. Unnecessary in the process.

Size Matters?

My worries about the size of the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo were spot-on, it seems I do know my body quite well. The tip is tapered and so I don’t get any particular thrill about a girthy head being shoved into my vagina. I don’t even need that much lube, although a dot of water based lube is advisable as the silicone material is very draggy. If you’re a petite woman in that regard then you might love the fact the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo is quite slender up top.

The length of the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo isn’t ideal for G-spotting. A curve in a dildo or G-spot vibrator – for me, anyway – needs to be between 3-4 inches in length. The head stopping at quite an acute curve inwards at about 3.5 inches to get to the right place inside me. Yes, I could just hold the dildo at the right place, but as the tip is quite slender it makes the dildo all the more flexible. This isn’t good when it comes to G-spotting because I need something firmer, more rigid to push against.

With this dildo my vagina just envelops the dildo and the curve disappears. It’s like, it’s not even a curved dildo any more. I feel a rigid dildo (say, made with glass, stone, ceramic or even plastic) is better for me in this regard.

How I Choose To Use

All in all I probably won’t be reaching for the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo when I crave some internal stimulation during masturbation. However it will probably be used during sex with my partner – the slender tip makes it ideal as a double penetrative toy. Him fucking my pussy and then he lubes up my arse and slips this in, while I concentrate on giving my clitoris the stimulation it needs to help the whole situation. In doggy. In that way, the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo is a winner.

Yet again, a toy I use in an entirely different way than the makers probably intended!

It’s also a good size for my partner, for those times he fancies a bit of pegging action. The suction cup/balls make it compatible with O ring strap on harnesses.

Summary

As long as you like/don’t mind realistic dildos, the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo could be many things to many people. Sure, it doesn’t vibrate, and it’s for internal stimulation only (unless you particularly love frottaging silicone pleasure tools. PS Use lube).

For me, this dildo didn’t work as a vaginal stimulatory toy, and it didn’t do anything as a G-spotting dildo. However I do love to include it in our couples sex play, and as an anal sex toy it’s fantastic. Mostly as it has a tapered rounded tip meaning easier, more comfortable insertion. The balls act as the mandatory ‘flared base’ and the suction cup makes it harness compatible.

The Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo is made of silicone (duh, clue’s in the title) and this is evidenced to me by the lack of dodgy toxic scents and flexibility without material breakage or cracking. Silicone is a lovely sex toy material because it’s non-toxic and non-porous. I can submerge the dildo after use, scrub it thoroughly, spray with anti-bac spray and feel reassured that it’s hygienically clean.

Despite the limited use/enjoyment I personally get from the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo, it’s an 8/10 as I can’t find many things ‘wrong’ with it per se – and for you it might be full marks. It all depends on how much a person loves vaginal stim, how they love their G-spot stim and if a realistic dildo really does it for you. The size/length/girthiness is also very relevant and we’re all different when it comes to what size insertable works for us.

Versatility

The Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo is definitely not limited to vagina-owners; I have enjoyed it anally and having a bum is something most of us have in common. If you’re looking for a medium size realistic dildo made from a body safe material which is anal play safe, then the Lyps 7 Inch Realistic Silicone G-Spot Dildo could be the one for you.
