Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator Review

By Cara Sutra

My new item to review from Bondara (the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator) came in some very special packaging: one of their new gift boxes The sleek black box is made from sturdy cardboard and opens and closes easily. It can even be reused to store your sex toys in afterwards. The top is embellished with the B from the Bondara logo which while identifies the box and contents to you, remains quite discreet if you have this box out in your room.

Inside I found my Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator nestled within the logo matching bright pink tissue shred which kept it safe during transit and adds to the gift feel.

You can choose to add gift packaging at checkout when you purchase from Bondara, a lovely extra touch when buying something for your partner or a lover.

I have a lot of sex toys. For this reason, I was glad when Bondara asked if I would mind reviewing something a little bit different.

The Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator is, unsurprisingly, an alarm clock that’s also a vibrator. Or a vibrator that’s also an alarm clock, if you prefer to think of it that way. A novel idea: how many women have intimated that they would love to be woken with sexual pleasure? Well here is your chance, apparently – the Little Rooster will have you crowing with delight every morning.

The device itself is set in velvet covered foam within a white lidded box, bearing the words ‘Gallus et Mullier‘, which happens to be the punchline of the inner latin quote. “Every animal is sad after sex except the human female and the rooster.” Not sure how true that is. But it’s a very nice presentation box.

Along with the instruction leaflet and the charging lead there is even a fancy bit of tracing paper with the company logo printed on it, for extra luxuriousness. A nice touch if you are thinking of giving the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator as a gift.

Made from white ‘polycarbonate’ (let’s get real, it feels like plastic), there is a digital LCD display on the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator which harks back to those £1.99 digital watches from the cheap shop, or a very small travel alarm clock. It’s functional and fairly easy to set – once you’ve read the leaflet. I let the man get on with this bit and guess what? He didn’t even have to read the instructions. Shocking, huh.

Time set, alarm also set. All I had to do was shove the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator down my pants at bedtime and drift off to a dream filled slumber before my orgasmic wake up call. luckily, I actually wear underwear in bed these days.

I was unsure when I first set eyes upon the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator whether the extended probe part was meant to be worn internally or just externally, resting against you. The leaflet makes it clear: do not wear it inside. I had thought to myself that could be pretty uncomfy, a squared length of plastic inside the vagina all night, no matter how rounded the edges are.

No, you simply rest the probe area against your clitoris and nestled between the labia and the clock/control fascia sits flush against your vulva. Your underwear keeps it all tidily in place.

The ‘nestling’ between the labia at the tip is surprisingly efficient at stopping the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator from moving all over the place whether you are standing or in bed. I had thought that would be one of the problems it presented, the device actually slipping from its intended spot. However I found I could ‘toss and turn’ all I wanted and it stayed proudly in the right place. Impressive.

How about the power though? I hear you ask. The vibrations are all important! Yes they are, which is why I actually checked these out before the morning wake up call. I didn’t want to be woken with either extreme, something so weak it was an annoyance and something so powerful I ended up leaping to the ceiling, holding on with finger and toenails.

Before you can use your Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator, you need to charge it up. Oh didn’t I say? It’s a rechargeable toy, which goes a long way to explain the price tag. No need for batteries and this modern device doesn’t even charge with a wall plug. Plug in the jack pin to the socket on the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator and the other end plugs directly into a USB port of your choice, perfect for those often on the computer or laptop.

The Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator is designed to start with lower vibrations as you wake, to gently rise you from slumber. They gradually build in intensity, until quite a strong vibration level is reached. The very top level of vibration is not unlike that of the RO-80mm bullet vibe. There are two motors inside which add an oscillation to the vibration for extra oomph.

You can in fact choose to use the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator on its own as a clitoral vibrator. It’s not the best shape overall for this; the digital display area doesn’t sit in the hand well for precise placement of the stimulation.

To use the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator there is a central slider which moves it from off, to alarm set, to on. There are also buttons to either side which act like the traditional – and + buttons to lower or raise the vibrations once the unit is on.

You can set which level of vibration you begin on, when it wakes you in the morning.

So here I was, plastic-feeling device in pants, laying in bed waiting to go to sleep. It’s not the most restful thing in the world knowing you have a device in your underwear which buzzes to high heaven at a set time. But this was my mission, and I chose to accept it – and the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator would be hopefully giving me an explosion to remember come morning.

You feel bound to lay on your back while the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator is in your knickers. I usually sleep on my front so it was like being pregnant again – niggles if I lay on my side and the feel of something against my womb if I lay on my tummy. Eyes up to the ceiling. Let’s get those sheep counted.

Morning finally came around, as it usually does. And I must say… it wasn’t the most pleasant waking I’ve experienced. But then when it comes down to it, a buzzing against your clitoris before you’re even awake – it may sound good in theory but in reality it’s more than a little strange.

You are being buzzed against before you have given your permission, in that very moment. Ok so you set the damn device yourself and stuck it down your pants but still – in that semi-unconscious, caffeine starved, not-really-a-human-at-all state, your mind does first jump to, “what the FUCK is that, get OFF!”
It does of course depend on your own circumstances surrounding use. I found it works for me best if I have had a night filled with debauched sex anyway, then slip this in as the extension to the session. If you wake from raunchy dreams often, wishing for sexual release right then and there, this will be fantastic for you.

Unfortunately on more than one occasion using this device I did just wake thinking what the hell is that – perhaps due to my own less than arousing circumstances at bedtimes.

On a side note, the gift box, velvet insert and satin storage bag seem to be at odds with the plastic feeling device. The luxurious packaging seems as though it could house a fancy watch, or sparkling jewellery and then you see… this. Your new sex toy. Seems strange to me, and the Latin quote is a little full of itself too.

Will I use it? Yes, despite my protests I will. As I say, after rampant sex or during times when I can be relaxed overnight this is set to be a fantastic item, a novel way to wake. Imagine the potential when combined with female chastity too…

I would only use it to wake however – the vibrations that can be activated by manual use, well, sorry but I have far too many other vibrators and sex toys that do a much better job during my playtimes.

On that note I am not sure I would have gone out and paid the £50-60 price tag for the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator. As a gift though, it is a treat and one you are sure to enjoy playing with and experiencing.

I haven’t got any other toy that I can set a time on and which will vibrate at a certain time to wake me from sleep so in that way, it’s completely new to me and unique. I can see it being quite the hit with single women, wanting hands free arousal first thing, without the nuisance of having to get a man (or woman) in.

I’ve awarded points for strong vibrations, although not the strongest I’ve ever had – as well as an interesting and unique concept that has at least made me smile. I’m not head over heels in love; but I don’t hate the Little Rooster Alarm Clock Vibrator either. It’s ok.

If you would like to try out this little beast for yourself, now’s the time to do it. It’s been reduced from £59.99 to £49.90 at Bondara. Perhaps a way to get that unique Valentine’s Day gift sorted early?
