Kinx Aqua Slix Water Based Lubricant Review
Always on the lookout for decent water based lubricants, especially those that come in pump bottles, so how did the Kinx Aqua Slix Water Based Lubricant fare?
The Kinx Aqua Slix Water Based Lubricant comes in a 250ml pump style bottle which is wrapped in a shrink-wrapped plastic to keep it hygienically sealed.
In terms of labelling the bottle decoration is kept to minimum, with the majority of the bottle being left clear, presumably to show the transparency of the lubricant within.
The removal of the plastic wrapping is eased by a perforated ‘zip’ like seal on the side of the wrap:
The ingredients listed on the Kinx Aqua Slix Water Based Lubricant bottle are:
- Citric Acid
- Potassium Sorbate
- Sodium Benzoate
I must admit seeing that list did have me being a little cautious with the mixture of ethyl, citric acid and glycerin!
I have to say that as simple as it sounds I was very impressed with the bottle. It is one of the few lubricant bottles of this volume that will actually fit comfortably into my bedside drawer. This is a combination of the fact that the bottle itself is quite ‘squat’, but also that the pump unlocks with a simple twist. Many pump bottles ‘pop up’ when unlocked (thus becoming taller), and also then involve you wasting one ‘pump’ of lubricant in order to depress the plunger to relock it. However there is no such issue with the Kinx Aqua Slix Water Based Lubricant, as locking and unlocking the pump is as simple as just rotating the nozzle.
The Kinx Aqua Slix Water Based Lubricant itself feels very smooth and slippery with a small amount rubbed between finger tips. It does have a noticeable ‘alcohol’ smell to it, but despite this it doesn’t seem to evaporate, in fact we were pleasantly surprised to find it actually seem to last longer than most other water based lubricants we have tried before starting to get sticky. In fact the packaging does state that it is classed as “long lasting”:
How It Feels
Due to the alcohol smell of the Kinx Aqua Slix Water Based Lubricant and the ingredients list we were very cautious when applying this to the more sensitive areas, but we actually needn’t have worried.
We found this was a great lubricant for her to masturbate him as it stayed incredibly slippery and took a comparably long time before becoming even slightly tacky. Equally she found that she could use it without any irritation or stinging, which did admittedly surprise us both, primarily due to the alcohol type smell of the lubricant.
Overall the smell is a bit strange, but as a lubricant it does seem to be very good, maintaining a smooth and slick consistency throughout.
As with all water based lubricants the initial application of more water to wash it off just rejuvenates it and makes everything incredibly slippery again, but simply using more water and soap makes the clean-up very easy and straight forward.
The alcohol smell of the Kinx Aqua Slix Water Based Lubricant was a little strange to start with, but it is a really good lubricant, and the choice of bottle and pump also works really well. I also feel that this is priced reasonably for the quantity of lubricant and the fact that it comes in a pump bottle.
Overall rating 9/10
