Guest Erotic Book Review: The Ultimate Guide to Prostate Pleasure by Charlie Glickman, PhD

7 out of 10

Thanks to minnie for this guest review of Charlie Glickman’s Ultimate Guide to Prostate Pleasure – Erotic Exploration for Men and Their Partners. It is co-authored by Aislinn Emirzian and features a foreword by Carol Queen, PhD.

I hope to read this book myself in the near future too, but as the subject matter is rather pertinent to my slave minnie, I offered him the chance to read it first. He has more time on his hands, ironically!

If you’d like to know more about the Ultimate Guide to Prostate Pleasure by Charlie Glickman, you can find it on Goodreads here, at Cleis Press here and on Amazon UK here (£17).

The Ultimate Guide to Prostate Pleasure – Book Review

The Ultimate Guide to Prostate Pleasure Erotic Exploration for Men and Their Partners Charlie Glickman book review

I’ve been given a copy of this tome by the wonderful Cara Sutra to review for her. It’s published by the well known Cleis Press in paperback.

I was keen to read it as I have been using prostate massage for several years, with mixed results so I hoped to pick up some useful tips.

It’s written in an easy to read style, changing seamlessly from medical descriptions of your anatomy and the prostates function to easy to understand everyday talk of cock, balls, fucking to name a few.

It starts, logically, with a description of the prostate and it’s function, its location and how it interacts with the bodies neighbouring organs. This help sets the scene for beginners to understand how to be able to use it for pleasure as well as its normal function.

The two authors manage to keep it interesting for novices and more experienced players without being condescending to either, not always an easy task! There are chapters on hygiene, penetration, techniques, toys and even a him and her chapter which covers both female and male partners and the differing aims and practicalities of each. I was interested to read the section on solo massaging, learning one or two new ideas that I will be trying soon!

All in all it’s a great book, very informative without being too boorish though once or twice I thought the change from medico speak to street speak was a bit incongruous.

If you or your partner are interested in prostate play it’s well worth reading.

I’d give 7 out of 10 and of course thanks as usual to Cara Sutra for asking me to review for her.
