Give Lube Super Thick Aqua Lube Review
By Pleasure Panel reviewer StickyWicket
Give Lube is one of the more recognised names in lube I use, so I was pleased to try out the Give Lube Super Thick Aqua Lube for a Pleasure Panel review.
The bottle is just your average, run-of-the-mill pump dispenser. If you stuck it in your bathroom next to shaving foam no-one would pay any attention to it. There is a seal around the bottle and a little plastic insert in the nozzle. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to replace the insert back in after use to keep the lube fresh, so I did anyway to be safe.
The bottle of Give Lube Super Thick Aqua Lube comes with amusing directions for use. Apply Super Thick Aqua Lube to any area of the body where extra moisture is desired. This appealed to my sense of humour, whether it was intended to or not I’m unsure.
Scent & Taste
The smell is pleasant. It’s almost aloe-vera like. Or lavender, I’m not sure. This is a sex product review, I’m not a food critic – so I’m not exactly sure what the smell is but it’s nice. I’m a bit weird; when I open a new packet of something like post-it notes, or get a glossy magazine I like a sniff. Naturally I had to take a little nibble and its taste isn’t unpleasant either. This will definitely be a consideration for some of you, I’m sure – depending on how you use it.
Consistency & Texture
Texture wise the Give Lube Super Thick Aqua Lube is thick. I’d compare it to one of those squeezy grease guns or almost as thick as bathroom sealant. It’s definitely thicker than the average hand cream if that helps draw a comparison. You could write your name with this and it’d hold. I have taken comparison pictures between Give Lube (Lube Tube) version which drips off the spoon, the Kamikaze Angel silicone lube which slowly drips with a soup-like consistency, and the Give Lube Super Thick Aqua Lube which just stays put even with the spoon held vertically.

This texture is both a good and a bad thing. The texture holds up, but for that reason it doesn’t get as slippery as I’d otherwise like. Even when warm, and this is when a lot of lubes come into their own, this stays relatively thick. It’s great for vaginal sex but anal sex wasn’t the best in our experience trying this – particularly if you’re the receiver. The slickness just wasn’t there for us that silicone counterparts can offer, which is possibly why Give Lube describes this as a silicone free alternative for anal sex. Perhaps that’s their code for second best when it comes to anal, I’m not sure.
The bottle proudly states it has vitamin E and from the attention to detail on the ingredients it’s a product I’d consider it very safe to skin. It’s probably quite good for you.
There are no specialties with this Give Lube Super Thick Aqua Lube. It’s not intended to give you extra staying time, heat things up or give you super powers. It’s simply a good lube and nothing else.
If I could rate this lube twice I’d give it perhaps a 7 for anal and 8 for vaginal use, but if I have to be pushed I’m going to give it an overall 7. That’s simply because the Give Lube Super Thick Aqua Lube is good, but not quite as flexible as some of its rivals.
