Give Lube Cherry Oral Sex Gel Review
Pleasure Panel review by FairehLights
I was kindly sent the Give Lube Cherry Oral Sex Gel to review by Cara and Give Lube, in exchange for my honest review. Flavoured lubes always have a bit of a mixed view, so I was interested to try out something new- and cherry is such a good flavour to have!
First impressions are good, as this lube comes in a big (100ml) bottle as opposed to the tiny sample sachets that are usually found. It has a very tasteful design, black with silver accents, and a red circle and cherry graphic. Very nice, very cheery, but it is immediately obvious that it’s a lube bottle. I don’t really mind this, but I am aware that some people are very concerned about being discreet.
The lubricant is dermatologically tested and contains no parabens or other harmful compounds. It does contain glycerine which can be a little iffy, but washing after use will sort that out. It’s medically marked so is safe for virtually anyone to use and all this information is clearly displayed on the label.
The bottle is slightly squeezy which is great for applying the lube, and a flip top cap which is secure- I’ve had no leaks so far with it rattling around my drawers.
I tested the lubricant first on my hand to check I wasn’t going to have a bad reaction. It is a translucent pink colour, and fairly viscous so it will coat toys, penises and other such things smoothly, and it lasts.
It went on nicely and didn’t dry for a very long time; when it did it wasn’t flaky, just absorbed which is a positive.
I didn’t have a negative reaction, so as Little Miss Allergy, that’s a good sign for everyone else.
I also had a taste, and it was fairly nice- cherry hints but like most synthetic cherry products, there is a strong flavour of amaretto- nutty and boozy. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s not cherry.
So I took the plunge, and went for a cherry flavoured blowjob. And nope nope nopity nope. The flavour of this lube is nice on its own, but very much not when combined with someone’s genitalia. It made me unable to continue, and also turned very sticky very quickly.
My partner was freshly showered, so I know this wasn’t a cleanliness issue.
Maybe blowjobs with lube aren’t for me, maybe this lube just isn’t for me.
All in all, this is a very nice product that is safe to use, in the grand scheme of things. Personally I’m reserving it for external use only with toys, but I wouldn’t overly dissuade others from giving it a go.
