Cobeco Pharma Cannabis Lube Review
This Cobeco Pharma Cannabis Lube has intrigued me for quite some time, ever since I saw mentions of ‘The Weed Lube’ flying around the adult product review community and the internet at large. Of course this led to me flying over to the Cobeco Pharma stand at the recent Erofame adult trade show in Germany to see if I could nab some for myself. The Cobeco Pharma team generously provided me with this sachet of Cannabis lube.

This sachet holds 4ml of Cobeco Pharma Cannabis Lube. Doesn’t sound like a lot but a little bit of this weed lube goes a long way – as with any good lubricant. The back of the sachet tells us that “this is a personal lubricant for penile and/or vaginal application intended to moisturise and lubricate to enhance the ease and comfort of intimate sexual activity and supplement the body’s natural lubrication.” We are also assured that “this product is compatible with natural rubber latex condoms”.
There are also a few instructions about the use of this Cobeco Pharma Cannabis Lube.
“Directions for use: apply as much as you want, on the body parts you want and repeat as often as you like. Before using the lubricant on a regular basis apply a small amount to your forearm. If an allergic reaction occurs discontinue use. Keep out of the reach of little children. Store in a cool dark place.”
All quite straightforward really. There’s also a best before end along with batch number on the side of the sachet. My sachet of weed lube expires June 2018 – just about enough time to use it then!
The ingredients are: water, glycerine, propylene glycol, hydroxyethylcellulose, cannabis sativa seed oil, sodium benzoate, peg 40 hydrogenated castor oil, polysorbate 20, acid aroma, sodium levulinate, maltose sodium hydroxide, linalool, agave tequilana leaf extract, sodium saccharin, perfume, aspartame, geraniol, d-limonene.

Quite a few bits in there. Obviously if you’re sensitive to glycerine in your lubes (sugars can exacerbate symptoms of thrush or other vaginal irritations) then you might want to give this weed lube a miss.
The Cobeco Pharma Cannabis Lube is fairly easy to open thanks to a tear indent on the side of the packet near the top. It’s not a clean tear but it didn’t really matter to me; I just wanted to get on and give the lube a try. Would I be extra chilled out? Would my vagina get the munchies (more than normal)? I’d soon find out.
As it happens the weed lube is a very comfortable lube for me to use and it has a pleasant smell. Apparently and according to the Cobeco Pharma team at Erofame the cannabis lube doesn’t contain any active form of cannabis plant, it’s just the scent from the seed extract. However to me it smells like a particularly sweet wallpaper paste mix.
The Cobeco Pharma Cannabis Lube also tastes pretty sweet as well although it’s not sold as an edible or lickable lube. At least it’s not one of those incredibly bitter, pharmaceutical type tastes that a lot of other lubes have. It *is* incredibly sweet so if you get a lot in your mouth (which I’ll assume to be by accident) you’ll probably be wanting a large swig of water. Don’t be spreading this on your sandwiches hoping to get stoned, it ain’t gonna happen. The most that will happen is you’ll get a mild sugar rush from the glycerine component. Sorry!
I didn’t get vagoo-munchies but I *was* chilled out after using the weed lube. About as chilled out as I usually am after a sesh with sex toys and lube, as it happens. As already mentioned, there’s no active cannabis plant ingredient, the scent from the seed extract is really a bit of a novelty, a marketing ploy, a quest for attention to this lube – which has definitely worked.
The Cobeco Pharma Cannabis Lube is a nice water based lube, very sweet to taste, contains glycerine, smells a bit like wallpaper paste, won’t get you high or stoned. In the head or vagina.
The Cobeco Pharma Cannabis Lube isn’t *too* drizzly but it’s not thick enough to make a great anal lube. If I have more than a couple of dots on my fingertips the weed lube does drip off after just a few moments. For vaginal use it was good and didn’t lead to any irritation for me, and it was especially good for use with clitoral vibrators.
Just my opinion obvs, your mileage may vary.
