By Louise Lace: If you haven't read parts 1 and 2 of The Spicy Secrets of a Jet-Set Temptress, I'd strongly advise that you do before beginning Part 3: Leaving the Life - or reading this review. These are not stand-alone books and you may be a little confused with the plot lines if you start with this book.
By Wilf3564: Sharyn covers almost every aspect of the D/s relationship. For example, there is a whole chapter simply on kissing; however it is so detailed and intense that it leaves you just as aroused and enthralled as one of the chapters on sex (of which there are many).
By Shady Shania: I was asked by the lovely Cara Sutra to review Inked: Sexy Tales of Tattoo Erotica edited by Anna Sky which I received free of charge in exchange for an honest and frank review.
By Tangled Lover: We have tried a few types of sexy board games over the years and most of them have been disposed of through lack of use. So we were excited to try the Tie And Tease Game but also had past experience playing on our minds.
By Kittycat102: ...I was extremely excited when I saw the Forbidden Fruit erotica anthology book (edited by Kojo Black, published by Sweetmeats Press) up for the Pleasure Panel to review. Anthology? Yes. Erotic anthology? Hell yes!
By Mel MacFarlane: Always one to champion the sex positive, I have been a follower of the Kinkly website since I launched Voluptasse several years ago. For those who haven’t heard of them, Kinkly are one of the ‘go to’ websites for anything you need to know about sex. They also have the much coveted Sex Top Bloggers list, in which they showcase some of the world’s best loved sex bloggers and writers (yes I am on it, I have checked).
By Cara Sutra: The Objects of Desire book (compiled by Rita Catinella Orrell & Jason Scuderi) is a heavyweight tome presented in glorious full colour. It's full to bursting with beautiful photography of sex toys and articles about various erotic objets d’art. If I didn't have kids, this would definitely be one of my favourite coffee table books.
By Louise Lace: I was lucky enough to receive The Spicy Secrets of a Jet Set Temptress by Lantana Bleu (Part 2) when I volunteered to review Part 1 as a member of Cara Sutra's Pleasure Panel team. The book arrived direct from the publisher in discreet packaging, an e-book version is also available.
By Fesure Maybe Controversial. Honest. Explicit. Three words on the front cover. These are definitely three words I would use to describe this book down to a tee. Think a few other words I would use are fantastic and amazing.
By Louise Lace I am lucky enough to be a VIP reviewer in Cara Sutra's Pleasure Panel team and as such, I was able to request a book to review for the panel (The Spicy Secrets of a Jet Set Temptress by Lantana Bleu) in addition to the monthly panels Cara hosts. As an erotic book worm, I jumped at the chance to add a new author to my collection.
By Emmanuelle de Maupassant The most 'disturbing' of the tales in the Mammoth Book Of Best New Erotica 13 is Anna Lidia Vega Serova's refreshingly original 'Cancer'. It takes the reader to a far darker place than most tales dare. Its strength lies in its honesty, being unafraid to explore the compulsion of a fetish, however repugnant.
By Fesure Maybe Kinky Lingerie Girls by Holly Randall and published by Goliath Books is a hardback book which consists of professional model shots of women in kinky lingerie. The book's images were taken by Holly Randall, who is an American erotic photographer and the book itself is published by Goliath. Being a woman I thought this would be interesting to review as I was unsure to how I was going to find it - but I was extremely surprised by my reaction to it.
By Jon Pressick Fetish photography books have always been a special breed of publishing. Because of their niche market, artists are able to explore and create with abandon, depicting a wide array of sexy subject matter featuring immeasurable skill. And to match these qualities, most fetish photography books are produced with the best printing techniques and paper stock to truly showcase the craft on hand. Why then are so many fetish photography books disappointing?
By Chili Crimescene I was chuffed to receive the Dirty Rendezvous erotic photography book to review from Cara Sutra. It's by Chas Ray Krider and comes in glorious hardback boasting glossy (wipe clean) pages of photographs.
By kmlewis: I am so glad I received this book (full title: As Kinky as You Wanna Be: Your Guide to Safe, Sane and Smart BDSM). I have read other non-fiction books and found them hard to follow and often times would not finish. I would buy the audio version, if one existed, and listen to it and often times missing crucial information due to wandering.
By Angel R Rivera / gypsylibrarian Got a little erotica reading done recently with Penthouse Variations on Oral. This volume is by the editors of Penthouse Variations. Now, I will admit that I have not read Penthouse or Penthouse Variations for some time, a deficit I need to remedy down the road. I do enjoy erotic tales featuring oral sex, so I looked forward to reading this new volume. I have to say that this collaboration with Cleis Press was a pleasant reading experience.
By Cammies on the Floor Alison Tyler’s Wrapped around your finger is a continuation story. I think perhaps the storyline may have been more enjoyable to me if I had read the first book and the Dom - in a new power dynamic - wasn't so flawless. It is about a submissive named Samantha more fully understanding and coming to terms with the wants of her Dom, Jack.
Touching the Essentials is a one-of-a-kind, step-by-step guide to the “how-to, when-to and what-to” of sex. The book offers a witty, but at the same time informative, purposely unthreatening description of the nitty-gritty aspects of sexual interaction that often overwhelm the inquisitive and inexperienced at the start of their path without allowing them to reach the ecstatic euphoria Eastern methods are known to induce.
Dr Sadie Allison has done a fantastic job of communicating exactly what the clitoris is, where it is, why it’s important and how to handle it for maximum satisfaction of both partners in this handy guide book. It’s also presented in a fun and engaging lighthearted mystery format, as you can tell from the vibrant animation on the front cover. The illustrations within are sadly in black and white, but they are no less appealing and engaging. They accurately and clearly present the female form, sexual areas and also offer suggested positions for the best clitoral pleasure.
