In a bubble-gum pink and body safe silicone the Nova feels great, soft to touch with more flex in the main stem, much firmer at the bulbous tip. The suction cup is unexpectedly very strong when pulled but pops off when the main stem is tilted at much more than a neutral angle. Just above the base, the white power cord leaves the toy and plugs into the controller/battery pack.
The Intimate Melody Mage Vibrator charges using a magnetic charger, so it is completely waterproof; great for playing in the bath, shower, and for super easy cleaning. The body-safe silicone is silky smooth with no obvious seams. It feels lovely on the skin, and the addition of just a tiny dot of water based lube makes it a pleasure on your body. It appears to be very high quality, especially given the bargain price.
All in all, as far as battery powered vibrators go, this one is great. It doesn't have as big a range as rechargeable or mains powered but this is to be expected. I'm still impressed by the speeds it does put out, (even if the greedy power queen in me wishes there was just a couple more) and the range of patterns is good and if patterns are your thing I'm sure you'd find at least one to suit.
But not this one. I was pretty delighted to discover that, while not anywhere near as intense as, say, a We-Vibe Tango, the vibes are deep and definite. Whether in the hands of myself or my husband, when used on my clitoris I had no trouble reaching orgasm. It’s weird, but even though the patterns were lost on me, having it on constant speed but lifted on and off my clit worked wonders. I’ve tried to do the same thing with other toys, but no dice. This is the only one it works for.
