The Big Book of Submission by Rachel Kramer Bussel boasts a meaty 69 stories (I wonder why they chose that number!). Even though they are shorts, with some feeling more along the lines of flash fiction, it is a vast amount and it'll be hard for you to go through it and not find something you like. You will in fact find a little bit of everything. Straight, lesbian and gay sex, along with both male and female submission.
By A Winter To many the idea of having to make time and schedule in sex is a turn-off. I know it can have that effect on me more often than not, but when we manage to overcome that and get in right frame of mind it can be some of the best sex in a long time. This is the idea the anthology leaves me with and it hits close to home. The characters are so believable in those stories that could have been boring - not unusual and exciting enough - but they prove we don’t need extremes. These, coupled with the more unexpected and novel stories give huge variety.
By A Winter Gilly starts with a life much like my own several years ago. A mother and a wife on the verge of screaming the house down in frustration and desperation. Worn down and with no time for herself, the little things bother her. She loses interest in sex with her husband - even the thought of him touching her makes her pull away - and she longs for silence. To be left alone. To be free.
