Grow Your Mo And MOVE It For Movember
By Cara Sutra
We’ve just done scary, let’s get hairy! Halloween has been and gone and it’s November already. You know what that means: time to grow your mo. It’s Movember!
What on earth is Movember?
Movember is a worldwide initiative, which takes place throughout November every year, to raise awareness of and funds towards male-specific health issues. Specifically, prostate cancer and testicular cancer – although Movember also contributes to helping those with mental health issues and other problems.
Funds have traditionally been raised by being sponsored to ‘grow your mo‘ – but this is only one of the ways you can show your support for Movember this year. In a progressive and evolving spirit, Movember this year includes a new initiative, MOVE.
MOVE asks you to get moving every day during November. I know, it’s hard – and to be honest my moving every day in November will probably be doing weights (*cough* lifting toddler) and some step exercises (*cough* going up and down the stairs) but if you have the energy, the time and the inclination, check MOVE out.
Of course, you can simply donate to the cause in the usual ways too.
Follow everything MO related on social media using the #Movember hashtag, and the official accounts on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. For more detailed information about the history of this initiative, you can check out the Wikipedia page here.
Prostate Cancer UK receive a great deal of support from Movember, which is heartening to read about.
Did you know that regular prostate massage can help to reduce the chances of prostate cancer? It’s also fantastic fun for those with a prostate (lucky gets). Find out more about prostate massage, why it’s so fab and how to give your partner a great prostate massage in this expert advice article by Hella Rude.
UberKinky have written this fantastic article discussing 5 reasons why you should try prostate massage – including the health benefits I’ve mentioned above.
You can also find all my prostate massager reviews here (including the brand new LELO LOKI WaveMotion prostate massager review) – and when you’re ready to shop, head over and buy low priced prostate massagers from these reputable sex toy shops.
If you’re going to get involved with Movember this year, either by growing your mo or challenging yourself to MOVE, please comment below. I’d love to hear from you, and share some of your fundraising pages on my social media.
Happy Movember everyone!
