T.A. Chase has published close to a hundred books in several different genres, though they’re all romances. She believes that everyone deserves a happy ending, no matter whom they fall in love with. She lives in the mid-west region of the United States, but doesn’t like the cold weather. T.A.’d rather be sipping drinks poolside with the sun shining down on her. The good thing about snow days is the opportunity to curl up in front of a fire with a good book and glass of wine, so she doesn’t complain too much about the weather.

– Cara Sutra
Hi everyone! Thanks so much for inviting me to come chat with you at Cara Sutra. I also appreciate the opportunity to talk about my books and my guys. My newest book out at Totally Bound is titled Borderline. It’s about a FBI profiler and a Texas Ranger who meet while working a serial killer case.
Now I’ve never met a woman—or man for that matter—who didn’t find a guy in uniform sexy. Also males who know how to handle their weapon. There’s something intriguing about men who are willing to put their lives on the line every time they put the uniform on.
While I love writing about law enforcement types, what Borderline is really about is keeping secrets. Both Tanner and Mac have secrets that they don’t want anyone else to find out about. Secrets that could ruin their careers and their lives. In real life, everyone has at least one secret they would prefer no one discover.
Yet what happens when the truth comes out? Do these two men run away from the difficulties it’s caused or do they work together to learn how to accept them?
It also takes a look at whether evil men are wholly evil or if there is a bit of good in every heart. The reader meets a character in Borderline who is in almost every way the definition of evil, yet he has two people he cares deeply for and will do anything to help them. Of course, the little bit of goodness in him doesn’t necessarily forgive all the bad he’s done. That’ll be up to the reader.
He’s revisited in the second book of the Delarosa Secrets trilogy, then his own story is told in the third book.
I thought I’d share with you a little excerpt from Borderline, along with snippets from two other books of mine available at Totally Bound.
Thank you for having me here and I hope you enjoy!
Blurb for Borderline
This is book one in the Delarosa Secrets series, see the full series listing here.
Surrounded by secrets, two men search for a serial killer, while trying to keep it from becoming personal.
Mac Guzman is a Texas Ranger and lead detective on a serial killer case rocking the city of Houston. He’s willing to take help from anyone, especially when it comes in the form of the gorgeous FBI profiler, Tanner Wallace. Mixing business with pleasure has never been an option for Mac, but he just might change his mind and seduce Tanner into his bed.
Tanner Wallace joined the Bureau and became a profiler to catch bad guys. Also, it might have a little to do with making up for the evil caused by his family’s business. When he’s called in to consult on a serial killer case in Houston, Tanner never expects to meet Mac. The handsome Texas Ranger brings to mind hot, sweaty nights wrapped in each other’s arms, yet Tanner knows Mac would walk away if he ever found out who Tanner’s family really is.
With the threat of another murder hanging over their heads, Tanner and Mac will have to find a way to work past their differences before the killer strikes again.
Publisher’s Note: This book was previously released by another publisher. It has been revised and re-edited for release with Totally Bound Publishing.

If he was the kind of man who didn’t take responsibility for his actions, he’d blame what he did next on the alcohol. Macario set his glass down and rested his hands on Tanner’s hips. He leaned forward to bring their lips together.
Tanner gasped, and Macario took advantage of it to sweep his tongue inside Tanner’s mouth, tasting the man. Spicy, like Tanner had had Tex-Mex for dinner, and a beer. There was a unique flavor that had to be all Tanner. They moaned and stepped closer until their bodies pressed tightly together, chest to chest, knee to knee, and groin to groin.
In the back of his alcohol-addled mind, Macario knew what they were doing wasn’t smart. Messing with a man he was working with could screw everything up, but he couldn’t bring himself to care.
He tugged on the hem of Tanner’s shirt, lifting it so he could run his hands over Tanner’s warm, smooth skin. Tonight he wanted to fuck and reinforce the fact that he still lived. It was the emotion that often swept over him when catching a murder case. Yet when he’d left work, he’d driven home instead, somehow feeling like it was disrespecting Marissa’s memory to fuck some total stranger.
Isn’t that what you’re doing now? He pushed away the voice inside his head. Macario didn’t want to think any more about what had happened that day. The alcohol was helping him to dull the pain, and maybe sex would help him get some sleep.
Tanner eased back, breaking the kiss. “Where’s your bedroom?”
Macario grabbed the man’s hand and dragged him down the hallway. He didn’t speak, not wanting to break the mood. No coming to their senses until after they fucked. They could regret it in the aftermath.
Blurb for An Ace in the Tiebreak
This is book eight in the International Men of Sports series, see the full series listing here.
When Robin has to save his career and choose between two very different men, he has to try not to double-fault…while hoping for an ace.
Professional tennis player Robin Keller has a love/hate relationship with most everything in his life—his game, his tennis rival and sometimes hook-up Danie Coetzee, the pills and alcohol he uses to get through his days. Nothing seems to be going right anymore, and when he hits rock bottom after the French Open, drastic changes are the only option.
Quinn Damaris has a well-earned reputation for turning around the careers of the athletes he acts as chef for, and he can tell from the first meeting that Robin is going to be a challenge. As a double amputee, he’s not a man to back down just because the road is rough.
He didn’t count on anything starting between them, especially when the way he realises Robin is gay is when he sees him with Danie. Robin will have to make a choice. Is Quinn kidding himself to think that a tennis star could fall for a man who isn’t whole?

Quinn turned to meet Robin’s gaze and smiled when Robin leaned in for another kiss. By the time they had to break for air, they were laying side by side facing each other. At some point they’d both lost their T-shirts and sweats.
Quinn hadn’t put any underwear on after his shower earlier, so he jerked a little when Robin took a hold of Quinn’s cock. There were calluses on Robin’s palm and fingers that felt amazing against Quinn’s sensitive skin.
“Wow,” he murmured and Robin laughed.
“You think that feels great, just wait.” Robin wiggled down to settle between Quinn’s thighs.
Bracing himself on his elbows, Quinn looked down to see Robin wink at him before sucking his entire length in. Quinn moaned loudly as the wet heat and suction of Robin’s mouth surrounded him. It was better than anything he could’ve ever imagined. He lost track of time and everything else as Robin worked him with tongue, lips and hands.
As pressure began to build behind his balls, he forced his eyes open and tapped Robin to get his attention. “As much as I love what you’re doing, and I really want to come like this some time, if you want me to fuck you, you need to stop.”
He could see the struggle in Robin’s eyes then he smiled as Robin reluctantly let him slide out of his mouth. Quinn scrambled over the sheets to find the lube. He got the bottle open and some squirted out on his fingers as Robin straddled his hips.

Pest hesitated and Bart wondered what he was thinking while they stared at each other.
He didn’t back away when Pest reached out, slid his gloved hand around the back of Bart’s head, and urged him to bend down.
It was almost like time slowed as Bart did as Pest encouraged. He thought about not kissing the man, yet nothing inside him yelled to stop. Maybe he should be concerned because he really didn’t know anything about Pest. His last lover had dumped him and all that shit, but he didn’t care about that.
Yet if Pest wanted to hurt him, he could have done it at any point during the past two months while Bart had been ill. The man had been nothing but professional and caring as he had healed Bart. The caring had helped convince Bart Pest didn’t mean him any harm. Jasper had been careless with Bart’s feelings from the beginning and that should have been a sign of the man’s true nature.
Suddenly he paused and whispered against Pest’s lips, “What about my illness? Aren’t you worried you’ll catch it?”
Pest’s smile was soft and gentle. “If I haven’t gotten it by now, I won’t. Trust me, Bart.”
Their lips pressed together, rubbing and teasing. He opened to Pest’s tongue, allowing him to learn the nooks and crannies of his mouth. He wiggled and squirmed until he covered Pest’s body with his own. Pest placed one gloved hand on Bart’s ass while threading his fingers through Bart’s hair.
He gasped as their erections brushed together and he arched, trying to get more pressure. Bart braced his hands on either side of Pest’s head without breaking their connection. Pest trailed kisses down Bart’s chin to his neck where he sucked up a mark while Bart pressed as close as he could get to Pest.
“Oh my God,” he whispered as he let his head drop back to give Pest more access to his skin.
