As you will remember, I had my first scan on Thursday (19 April). They let me know I was 13 weeks and 3 days pregnant, 3 days more than I had thought. This means that today, Monday, I am 14 weeks pregnant! Hurrah.
Darren and I went to the hospital in the morning, ready for the scan at 9.50am. I’d been petrified with nerves in the lead up, getting to the worst point the night before and in the morning I was just a bundle of pessimism, trying to prepare for the what ifs.
But it was all fine!
After a nerve racking wait at the right area, up dozens of stairs I might add and a very grumpy receptionist, plus a few tears and lots of shaking, we finally got to see our mini-me on the screen. The lady found baby straight away, wriggling about.
Such a relief!
The other two pictures are here:
Next scan now not until 20 weeks, all the way in June!
I am starting to feel little bubbles inside, so hopefully movements not too far off. Most people reckon it’s a girl, I don’t want to say either way yet but we do have a shortlist of some lovely names…
Thanks to everyone who has given me/us great messages of support and well wishes, and congratulations, they all mean so much.
