I volunteered to read Seven Dirty Words by Charlotte Howard for Pleasure Panel. I’m a big reader, particularly of erotica, so I was really looking forward to getting stuck into this book. The story centres around Paige Holmes, a troubled young woman who despite her dark past is desperate to rebuild her life.

By Candy Snatch:
When Cara asked for a reviewer for the amazingly titled Jesus Christ: Porn Star by Mary Magdalene I literally jumped at the chance. I found the title alone so mischievous and enticing, I just had to read this story! I was lucky enough to be selected and couldn’t wait to read the book.

No Restraint by Elizabeth Black – Pleasure Panel Erotic Book Review

Price:
£2.99
Publisher:

By Candy Snatch:
I’d never heard of Elizabeth Black but really enjoy reading works by new authors so I was really pleased when Cara said she’d send me No Restraint. The cover art is quite alluring, with some BDSM hints and the title conjured up all kinds of lovely images in my kinky little brain of rope and spreader bars.

If you haven’t read parts 1 and 2 of The Spicy Secrets of a Jet-Set Temptress, I’d strongly advise that you do before beginning Part 3: Leaving the Life – or reading this review. These are not stand-alone books and you may be a little confused with the plot lines if you start with this book.

I was sent Fate’s Arrow by Devi Ansevi free of charge by Cara Sutra in exchange for an honest and frank review. I was informed prior to being sent it that it was a 2nd part of a series but that it could be read alone without reading the first, this was certainly true.

Controversial. Honest. Explicit. Three words on the front cover. These are definitely three words I would use to describe this book down to a tee. Think a few other words I would use are fantastic and amazing.

I am lucky enough to be a VIP reviewer in Cara Sutra’s Pleasure Panel team and as such, I was able to request a book to review for the panel (The Spicy Secrets of a Jet Set Temptress by Lantana Bleu) in addition to the monthly panels Cara hosts. As an erotic book worm, I jumped at the chance to add a new author to my collection.

Emanuelle And The Hound Of Love by PH Thomas – Pleasure Panel Review

I have to say I love a good smutty book, and read them regularly, so I was over the moon to be selected to review Emanuelle And The Hound Of Love. I have never read anything by this author before, so was looking forward to reading it. The problem with reviewing a book is that not all people like the same books and the same writing style, so the review is personal to that person. I had looked on Amazon to see what others were saying about this author, and he seemed to get good reviews.

The Woman and The Boy, by PM Thomas – Pleasure Panel Review

When I received a copy of The Woman and The Boy, I wasn’t too sure what to expect. Whilst I love Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty Quartet, I have no interest in Fifty Shades of Grey and the many similar books created afterwards. I decided to put my preconceived ideas aside and to give this book a fair chance. I promise I will try not to spoil too much of the plot.

Wrapped Around Your Finger by Alison Tyler – Pleasure Panel Erotic Book Review

Price:
£16.95
Materials: Paper

By Cammies on the Floor
Alison Tyler’s Wrapped around your finger is a continuation story. I think perhaps the storyline may have been more enjoyable to me if I had read the first book and the Dom – in a new power dynamic – wasn’t so flawless.
It is about a submissive named Samantha more fully understanding and coming to terms with the wants of her Dom, Jack.

The Imperfect Gentleman by Jacqui Sinclair – Pleasure Panel Review

Price:
£3.25

By Carnal Queen
Talking of the sex scenes, the ones in this book are hot! I like Jacqui’s writing style, there are no outlandish euphemisms in sight, which I was relieved to discover. No ‘purple, pulsating man rods’ or ‘swollen, throbbing lady caves’ to be seen, which is good because I find all that twaddle a complete turn off. An erotic novel for me needs to have a ‘throb’ factor – If my vagina isn’t tingling and twitching, then it’s no bloody good! I’m happy to report that the straight talking, no nonsense use of raw language in this book to convey Maddy’s sexual adventures certainly got me all stirred up. The sex is undoubtedly vanilla though, it’s still hot and steamy, but there’s nothing out of the ordinary.

Despite getting a little frustrated with the indecisive main character at times, I really enjoyed reading The Imperfect Gentleman.

The Secret Life of Girls by Chloe Thurlow – Pleasure Panel Review

Price:
£7.99
Publisher:
Xcite Books
Materials: Paper

By Pandora Tolson
The book has a lot of spanking and is heavy on the girl on girl action, it;s well written and not at all seedy but very steamy. The blurb on the back was interesting and part of the reason I wanted to read the book. To find out about this wicked stepfather as well as Christian Thomas’s addiction to fruit salad and bondage. Which didn’t disappoint, however I would have liked more.

The Wilde Passions of Dorian Gray by Mitzi Szereto – Pleasure Panel Book Review

Price:
£11.99
Publisher:
Cleis Press
Materials: Paper

By Miss Emma MM
An incredibly quick rundown of The Picture of Dorian Gray is that it centers on a naive, beautiful young man named Dorian. He becomes fast friends with what were basically two closeted queens in that time period. Lord Henry in particular sets out to corrupt Dorian. Meanwhile Basil paints Dorian, over and over, until his portrait is perfect. He gifts the painting to Dorian who finds out something quite peculiar. It turns out that any “sin” he commits doesn’t mar his actual appearance but only that of the painting. He goes through society for many years without aging or showing any wear even though he makes progressively more startling choices.
