Reading is a big part of my life so I was excited to be able to review a book for the Pleasure Panel this month. Summer Heat is the 3rd in the anthology series Seasonal Shenanigans which is made up of 17 saucy stories set in the summer heat.
I've been sent the e-book version of Wife Breeding Team and Other Stories by Damien Dsoul free of charge, in exchange for an honest and frank review.
An erotic collection of stories by the sexperts at Penthouse Variations magazine, PENTHOUSE VARIATIONS. This review is for the paperback version of the Penthouse Variations on Anal book.
By Livvy Libertine: Welcome to my first Pleasure Panel review on one of my new favorite porn anthologies, the Penthouse Variations on Quickies. The book has 248 pages and was a pretty quick read for me, despite needing to take a few breaks here and there for an orgasm or two.
By Meitiman: I feel like most people have a strong feeling about Valentine’s Day. Either they dismiss it entirely as just another day that has been twisted into an excuse to sell products (i.e. – candy, flowers, and lingerie) or they feel it is a sacred holiday to celebrate love and watch out if you’re the crazy man who breaks a girl’s heart on Valentine’s Day. The Red Hots Valentine Anthology caters to the latter half.
By Eliza93Marie: This poetry collection (BDSM Poetry by CA Bell) was sent to me as a reviewer of the Pleasure Panel. The author requested a review of her collection, I was happy to help. I love poetry and have since I was in high school. Know I love it, but I also am no master poet. I have no idea how to review a poem, but I will do my best.
By Shady Shania: I was sent Silver Desire edited by Zak Jane Keir in electronic format which downloaded on to Apple Books with no problems. It is made up of 10 short stories based on sexual adventures of ladies over a certain age.
By Candy Snatch: When I saw an article about erotic fiction with excerpts from The Sexy Librarian's Big Book of Erotica (available from Amazon) it left me wanting more so it quickly joined my wank bank library.
By Lily Palmer: Erotica is one of the most difficult genres to write, in my opinion anyway. Erotic short stories are even trickier. Imagine having to write a background story, fully developed characters and a sex scene that is arousing to most of your readers.
By Shady Shania: I was asked by the lovely Cara Sutra to review Inked: Sexy Tales of Tattoo Erotica edited by Anna Sky which I received free of charge in exchange for an honest and frank review.
By Kittycat102: ...I was extremely excited when I saw the Forbidden Fruit erotica anthology book (edited by Kojo Black, published by Sweetmeats Press) up for the Pleasure Panel to review. Anthology? Yes. Erotic anthology? Hell yes!
By Poppycat22 I was really pleased to be sent The Devil's Doorbell - An Erotic Anthology to read and review for the Pleasure Panel. The Devil's Doorbell - An Erotic Anthology Book Megan Hart Pleasure Panel ReviewI was sent the e-book version which was really great because it lived in my phone, which never leaves my side and meant it was always on hand to have a quick read.
By Emmanuelle de Maupassant Eight authors, each with their own style and approach, take their turn to explore the nature of our erotic drive, relentless and destructive: the ‘Libidinous Zombie‘ within. As Remittance Girl so perfectly describes it: ‘the delicious marriage between horror and eroticism’.
By Emmanuelle de Maupassant The most 'disturbing' of the tales in the Mammoth Book Of Best New Erotica 13 is Anna Lidia Vega Serova's refreshingly original 'Cancer'. It takes the reader to a far darker place than most tales dare. Its strength lies in its honesty, being unafraid to explore the compulsion of a fetish, however repugnant.
By Horny Geek Girl When Cara put out a call asking for someone to review this erotic anthology, Best Women's Erotica Of The Year Vol 1, I jumped at the chance. Previous books in the series have introduced me to some great writers, and I was eager to see what this latest edition would have to offer. This was Rachel Kramer Bussel’s first year taking the helm, and I was curious to see how she would put her stamp on this latest edition.
By Angel R Rivera / gypsylibrarian Got a little erotica reading done recently with Penthouse Variations on Oral. This volume is by the editors of Penthouse Variations. Now, I will admit that I have not read Penthouse or Penthouse Variations for some time, a deficit I need to remedy down the road. I do enjoy erotic tales featuring oral sex, so I looked forward to reading this new volume. I have to say that this collaboration with Cleis Press was a pleasant reading experience.
By Lil Miss X Well, this certainly perked up my working day! I agreed to review this book for the lovely Cara Sutra’s Pleasure Panel. The title of this book obviously suggests that it is erotic fiction, a collection of short stories.
By Mel Macfarlane, Voluptasse My favourite story was First Impressions. This story was quite poignant and details Sandra Fletcher‘s anger and frustration at a cruel and uncaring world. She meets a friendly woman called Gillian at the train station. They swap numbers and embark upon a friendship which awakens a side of Sandra that she had smothered because of a tragic and painful past. This story left me feeling excited for the character because she desperately needed a new beginning and I felt so involved with her that I wanted things to improve, and they certainly do.
By Voluptasse As the owner of a sex toy business myself, I was particularly interested in Andy Isaacson’s anecdote into the life of the JimmyJane creator Ethan Imbodan. His struggles were fascinating, relatable and even featured a cameo from the famous rapper Snoop Dog. He talks about the desires of the company and the ethos behind the JimmyJane brand and the perils of working in an unregulated market. It explores the sexuality of women and the battle of a determined entrepreneur to penetrate the most complicated female organ, the brain.
By A Winter The Big Book of Submission boasts a meaty 69 stories (I wonder why they chose that number!). Even though they are shorts, with some feeling more along the lines of flash fiction, it is a vast amount and it'll be hard for you to go through it and not find something you like. You will in fact find a little bit of everything. Straight, lesbian and gay sex, along with both male and female submission. I enjoyed reading many of the shorts in this book because it was just so easy. I could read one when I had five or ten minutes (think waiting for the bathroom to be free or for water to boil) but there are several things that could have been improved.
