ZINI Donut Unisex Vibrator Review

Pleasure Panel review by The Big Gay Review

Never has one product caused me so much confusion. Now admittedly, the Donut by ZINI has been on my watch list for a long time. There was something about the quirky shape (and name) that just called to me. And thanks to the Pleasure Panel, I was finally able to give it a try. Sadly, the Donut does not live up to it’s cute, delicious name. Quite frankly, I’m still sat here scratching my head, trying to work out EXACTLY what the ZINI Donut is.

Let’s kick things off with the positives. Firstly, the ZINI Donut Unisex Vibrator is packaged beautifully. You get a solid, white keepsake style box with a magnetic flip lid. Inside, you’ll find the vibrator nestled in a plastic tray. Next to it is the accessory box, which contains a USB charging cable, an instruction manual and a cute little storage pouch.

The ZINI Donut Unisex Vibrator is made from smooth, body-safe silicone and is completely waterproof. There are 5 different levels of intensity, and 15 different vibrating patterns and pulsations. Unfortunately, this is where all the positives come to an end. So why is the Donut such a let down?

Firstly, the ZINI Donut Unisex Vibrator controls are unnecessarily awkward and confusing. The buttons are incredibly stiff and requires a lot of force in order to operate. Secondly, the buttons don’t quite work as you would expect them to. Pressing the + (plus) button turns the Donut on. Subsequent presses increase the speed. Pressing the – (minus) button decreases the intensity. Pressing the middle o (pattern) button, initially changes it to one of the pulsating patterns. Another press sets it back to the constant setting. If you press the pattern button and then press the minus button, it starts to go through the patterns, but pressing any other button resets it. It’s incredibly confusing and needlessly complicated.

Once you’ve managed to work your way around the settings, using it is just as disorientating. I had to check out the ZINI website to get suggestions on how to use the Donut. Firstly, it says you can use it to stimulate areas like the nipples. Remove the small clasp holding the 2 ends together and then almost like you are wielding a lobster claw, you can tweak and caress at your erogenous spots. The ZINI Donut Unisex Vibrator has dual motors in each end, so you can spread them and clasp the donut around your testicles or around the penis to stimulate the frenulum.

ZINI also claims that you can use this to stimulate the anus and perineum as well. With a moderate 3.75 inch girth, insertion is easy – however because the Donut is quite ‘rigid’, it is quite fiddly to get into place. It’s not possible to insert the Donut too deeply, so it doesn’t really offer much in the way of prostate stimulation. So how does it feel?

Well sadly, the ZINI Donut Unisex Vibrator just lacks any real power. The vibrations it does offer are gentle, and on the rumblier side, but only just. On the higher intensities, it becomes buzzier. I also noticed that when you pulled the donut apart to flex it, the vibrations on one end almost completely disappear. But when the Donut is closed, the vibrations return to both ends. Not quite sure what is going on here.  If you don’t need the really deep, intense vibrations, then perhaps the Donut might be for you. I mean, admittedly, it was oddly fun trying to work out how to use it. But realistically I ended up getting more frustrated with it, then enjoying any decent orgasms. There is potential, it’s just not for me.
